I love this breadmaker.  I didn't expect to keep this breadmaker for myself.  This was purchased as a toy and expected to be sent to my sister's place after a tryout.  It ended up sitting on my counter and never leaves.  My whole family loves the smell of fresh baked bread in the morning.  With the timer feature in this machine, we can put all the ingredients in the pan at night and expect a fresh baked bread for breakfast.  For a family of four, 1.5 lb is just right for us.  Clean up is quite easy.  After popping the bread out from the bread pan, simply submerge the pan paddle with water...

Sunbeam Breadmaker 5891

Sunbeam Breadmaker 5891
Willing to pay for quality

The Sunbeam Breadmaker, model 5891, is my first bread making machine. I found it easy to use and the instructions easy to follow but I had to re-read the instructions more than once. I still keep the instructions handy when I'm making bread for the basic use and because it contains recipes that I still use. The machine allows you to make your own recipes and store bought packaged bread mixes. For a novice breadmaker it is a good machine to start out with. The display is digital and easy to read and understand. I don't like that you can't stop the machine if you forgot something without having... review »

My new "Mini Zo" just arrived today, which was amazing! I have enjoyed my two-pound loaf Zojirushi since I purchased it from Amazon in 2002 and will still use it for larger loaves, but this will be the perfect size for just the two of us and for special breads that we may want for one or two meals. The loaf I made today was for "soft" white bread. This interested me since there is a setting for "regular" and "firm" bread as well, but I thought I would see what the "soft" would be like--this takes three hours rather than the longer time for the other syles (we wanted it for dinner). The loaf could...

We bought this machine after looking at all our options. We decided to get a machine to make our own bread and not only that we make hamburger buns and pizza dough. It is a great machine.

I always loved the thought of "Baking", but was never good at it. But my family loves breads and cakes. After watching a preview, I thought okay I 'll give it a try. Well, I've been making bread, since the first day it arrived. I LOVE! this machine. Just follow the easy instructions , which is just adding all the stuff in order, just like the instructions say. And thats it! It's unbelievable. I can't believe I made this all by myself. Okay, my husband did read off the ingredients to me lol which are few. Just add it, set it, and forget it, It's amazing! Even the clean up is, really No Clean up...

a green thumb

I love my Zojirushi so much that if it ever decided to go into permanent retirement I would not consider a different brand.  I would buy another Zojirushi.  My Zojirushi is about 10 years old and it still works and looks like it is brand new.

It is one of the best investments I ever made.  It saves me time and money.  I have wheat allergies and have used spelt flour and other non wheat grains and my bread comes out better and tastes better than the store bought brands.  It did take me about 5 attempts to obtain the right amount of ingredients before I had a spelt loaf I could eat.  I have...
