I received this bread maker as a gift after asking for one thinking it would be easy to get homemade bread quick. It did make good bread but was so confusing to use! It took more time trying to program it to do estimated than it would have taken to mix and knead the bread by hand. Theoretically it was nice to have so many options, but more than once I would wake up to a baked loaf of bread at midnight when it should have been done at 8 in the morning. The recipe book also recommended using bread flour and I never had any on hand as well as dry milk. It was annoying that it called for " special" ingredients that I didn't normally have. The stainless steel design looked nice but showed every single fingerprint and dust particle. It almost fell off the counter once while kneading a two pound loaf. After that, I only did one pound loaves and it never had a problem staying in place. Ultimately, I got rid of it since after a while I was tired of all the time it didn't save me!

With all the preservatives and other not so healthy things going into our bread these days, it is easy to desire a nice fresh loaf of bread. Commercial bakeries add all sorts of things to their bread to make it last on the shelf longer, or to make it softer. The latest scandal was a common material found in yoga mats in Subway's bread. This breadmachine lets you make a loaf in about 4 hours, with you knowing everything that is going inside. It does get a bit loud when it is kneading the dough, and you REALLY have to follow the directions exactly. A lot of failures happen when you just throw the ingredients in all at the same time. You also have to make sure your ingredients, like the yeast, are fresh or you might end up with a brick instead of a loaf of bread. Stability While in Use If you are not careful in placing all the internal bits in correctly it will shake up on your counter. That is more user error however. Performance Sometimes my bread will cook too long, and I am not always sure that is my fault since I follow the instructions very carefully. Ease of Use It is easy to make your bread without the kneading, rising, kneading again that you would have to do if you made the bread in a pan in your own oven. Durability Mine is still knocked around a lot and functions great. You just need to make sure everything is stored safely inside the unit, because without one piece, there will be no bread!

I looked for a long time to find an affordable breadmaker but also one that has a gluten free setting. I found this one and I love it. The bread is always the perfect color and density and my son loves it. Will definitely stick to Breadman's if I ever have to buy another bread machine. Till then this one is amazing and makes incredible gluten free bread everytime!

The machine does all the work for you. No hassle no mess. Also, it comes with a manual that gives you tips on using it. Simple English, easy to understand. Stability While in Use While the machine is pretty stable, it tends to make a shaking noise during the mixing process. Performance With this machine, it is almost impossible to make a mistake. Ease of Use As long as I follow the steps included in the manual I had no problems. Durability I used the machine every other day to bake fresh bread and even after a year, the machine still performs the same as it did the first time I used it.

I received the Breadman Ultimate Plus for a wedding gift almost five years ago. I used it often and love it! I used the recipes it came with and I used bread machine premixed boxes from the store. My favorite recipe to make was the pizza dough. It always turned out perfect...if I used the dough bottom and not the pizza dough button. I like all the setting options. My complaint is that I never got to try the jam option because the spin mechanism rusted. Stability While in Use It is loud, but it doesn't move. Performance It is great; however, I needed to not use the button set for pizza dough for the pizza dough. The dough would come out too flat and wet. Durability It has lasted long overall. My complaint is that the spinning mechanism on the bucket rusted. That is my fault for the way I washed it. My complaint really lies with the difficulty in getting the parts replaced. I love the machine so much that I just want to replace the bucket, but I can't find it anywhere!!

I just received this bread machine for Christmas and I love it! The user manual is very helpful and informative and I really recommend reading the entire thing. I have never owned a bread machine before so I really wanted to make sure I really knew how to use it. Yesterday, I made the Cinnamon bread recipe located in the user manual. It tells you the order of ingredients to put in the machine, the setting to put it on, and little things you need to do while the bread machine is working. One thing you have to do is help scrape ingredients off the side of the machine during the knead cycle to ensure all your ingredients get mixed in. While I found this a little annoying (isn't the machine supposed to do this for me?) it wasn't a huge deal. The bread turned out amazing! It made our house smell divine and it was perfectly soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. I have a feeling I will be making alot of bread around here! I recommend this machine.

I like specialty breads which my next door supermarket doesnt carry, so I always have to drive about 10 miles to get what I want. With this machine I can make any bread I like without much effort and in little time. And it doesnt get fresher than this. I like the different functions, especially the programmable one so I can set it for a specific time and just walk off. A great buy!

Received this bread maker from my mom as a Christmas gift. I had been talking about wanting to buy a bread maker for years and finally I had one! It comes with a small instruction book, which also includes a few recipes. It does take up a bit of space. Unfortunately most of us don't have the extra space to give up. I ended up going out and buying a small shelving unit to set it on. My mom also gave me a few boxes of assorted bread mixes to get me going. We didn't hesitate opening it up and throwing the ingredients into the machine and seeing what came out. Well after reading the instructions we realized it was going to be about a 3 hour process and decided we'd start it and leave. After returning my husband and grandfather said it was making a lot of noise and jumping around the counter. Long story short, we figured out much later that the basket inside wasn't completely locked into place, so when the machine went to knead the dough, it caused it to jump around a bit and make a bit more racket than usual. Ever since then I've made sure it's locked in well, but it is a loud machine. It bangs around no matter what. There are options in the menu for loaf size, and crust brown-ness. It also gives you options for add-ins. You can set it for dough. I have made cinnamon rolls by making the dough in the bread maker and having it alert me when the dough is ready. The same goes for pizza dough. Most of the time I use box mixes but I have made stuff from scratch. This is my first bread machine. So far so good. I think Breadmans are good from what I've read. I hope it lasts me down the line. I haven't had any problems with it. One thing I don't like is that when you bake a loaf in the machine, it bakes the little kneader attachment into the loaf. So when you take the loaf out, you have to remember it's inside the loaf of bread.

My husband bought the Breadman Plus as a surprise for me for Christmas.  It looked like more work he wanted me to do!  It turned out to be one of my all-time favorite Christmas presents.  I can make homemade bread with just a few minutes of my time and only put in ingredients I know are good for my family.  This was especially important when my fourth child was born.  She was allergic to corn syrup and it was difficult to find bread that I could afford without corn syrup.  My Breadman Plus let me make my own bread without corn syrup that she and I both enjoyed.  It's so easy to use, my children can make the dough for their pizzas or even rolls for dinner.  It came with a booklet of very good recipes and I have adapted several other recipes to use with it.  We are about to celebrate my husband's fortieth birthday with a large party.  You can bet I'll be using my Breadman Plus for the rolls!

I never thought I could make bread again! All the bread machines in the world could not make bread the way I perfered! I almost gave up. Then I heard from a friend, "Don't give up girl, try the Bread Maker Plus!" So I did. After a quick trip to the store, I had the bread maker in tow. I whipped up a batch of Grandma Tutsi's homemade bread dough and plopped it into my new bread maker. Once I retrieved it from the bread maker I did it, it sliced into the bread a took a nibble. And Oh My Lanta! It was the most scrumptious bread I had ever tasted. It was so easy to slice and the taste was exquisite! I shouted Hallelujah! this is the best bread maker in the world!
