How do I create an account?

Signing up for a Viewpoints account is free and easy. First, click on the "Sign Up" link at the top right corner of this page. You will be prompted to enter your email address and choose a screen name and password. But, perhaps the better way to sign up is to register through Facebook or Twitter. The rest is easy—you'll get recommendations from friends, too!

What does "Facebook Verified" mean?

Linking your Viewpoints account to your Facebook profile gets you a "Facebook Verified" user designation throughout the Viewpoints site. We encourage you to link your accounts so more people will find your review content to be a credible source of information.

You can link your Facebook account to a new or existing Viewpoints account using any of these methods:

  1. Click the "Sign up with Facebook" button when registering for your Viewpoints account.
  2. Click the "Log in with Facebook" link when logging into your existing Viewpoints account.
  3. From your account, choose the "Settings" page and look for the "Linked Accounts" section of the page.

Why am I having trouble logging in with Google, Yahoo, or Twitter?

We no longer support the ability to log into your Viewpoints account with Google, Yahoo, Twitter, AOL, Myspace, OpenID or Live ID.

You can still log in with your existing Viewpoints screen name and password, or by linking your Viewpoints account to Facebook.

How do I write a review?

Writing a review on Viewpoints is as easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Register with our site if you haven't done so yet.
  2. If you are already a registered member, click here to write a review.
  3. After you finish writing your review, hit the "submit" button, and voila! Your review will be sent to our moderation team. Do not be alarmed if you do not see your review instantly. It may take several days for your review to appear on the site.

Why is the review formatted like a survey?

We know that everyone has writer's block from time to time. In order to make it as easy as possible for our users to share their feedback on products they use every day, we guide them to answer some simple questions about the areas that are most important to shoppers who are researching on Viewpoints.

Why are my reviews not showing?

There may be a couple of reasons why your reviews are not being shown. Every review is human moderated and it can take up to several days before our moderation team can check your the review for authenticity. Any profanity or information not relevant to the product may be cause for a review to be rejected. Reviews may also be rejected if they mention a competitor or the price of the product. If your review is approved, it will show up on Viewpoints the next day.

When I go to my account, I see lists. What are lists?

Lists are a great way to organize your shopping research. When browsing the site, simply click the "Add to List" button for any product you're considering. It will be saved to your profile for later comparison with other products in the same category. To view your lists, visit your account.

How do I update my personal information (such as email address) on my profile?

From your account, choose the "Settings" page. From there, you can change your email address.

How do I change my password?

First, log into Viewpoints with your existing password. Then go to your account and choose the "Settings" page. There, you can choose a new password.

What does it mean to "Claim and track" a listing?

“Claim and track” is a new feature available to manufacturers, brands and retailers to claim their listings on Viewpoints and receive notifications when new reviews of their listings are published. Anyone who is interested in claiming a listing must be approved by the Viewpoints team. Users that are approved to claim listings are also able to upgrade to a Viewpoints Pulse account.

What is Viewpoints Pulse and who is it for?

Viewpoints Pulse is a reputation management platform that provides review tracking, analytics and syndication for brands, manufacturers and retailers that are interested in managing their online reputation and tracking and analyzing consumer reviews of their products and services.

How do I cancel my account?

You may cancel your active account at any time by clicking here. Please note that you will have to login first to verify ownership of the account you wish to cancel.
