I was skeptical about obtaining Safe Auto insurance since I have had the major name insurance companies for over twenty years.  However, when times got tough financially I have had them for the last three years and they are great!  I had had to buy a car and they can write a policy at anytime of day and instantly email or fax it to you or a company.  They offer roadside assistance and online payment options.  More importantly, the rates are very cheap.  Before getting this insurance I did hear horror stories on the news about several customers complaint that they would not pay out or did not...

I have been with safe auto for almost four years. I carried the state minimum required liability coverage only because I had a "cheap college [pontiac sunfire]" car. Rates very affordable. I had one accident 2 months after being insured. My rates didn't go up much. I started off paying $84.00 being a brand new driver at 21 years old to being days away from being 25 and pay only $32.00 a month. [Hint* You save $8.00 by paying  your bill 10 days before your print date' A safe auto rep told me about it, so think about it....you save $96.00 a year from doing that!' I am in the midst of changing car insurances. Because I have seen many ads for SafeAuto I attempted to call the 1-800-SAFE-AUTO number on the TV. The number is no longer valid. So I called the 1-800 directory and they told me that this particular company was not listed in their database. This is distressing to me because I am attempting to compare car insurances and these television ads are very misleading. I want a company that can do what they advertise they will do. I also had the option of going online but why would I consider doing that if they do not advertise their correct information....
