I had Geico for over 23 years before I switched!

I started with Geico when I was 25 years old and got a very good rate considering my age and being a male. In fact I actually had them longer because I had their affiliate company since I was 16. But then Geico only insured Government Employees, when they opened it for everyone I was switched to Geico. So in reality I had Geico for almost 30 years! They gave me a discount for being married and being a professional driver (I drove cross country with a tractor trailer rig) I switched 3 years ago and I will explain that in a minute. As a 30 year old female, I've been insured with GEICO in one way or another for almost 15 years.  My parents have all of their vehicles insured with GEICO; and, as a result, when I began driving, I was added to the GEICO policy.  My good grades in high school earned my parents a discount on their insurance.  GEICO has been there for my family through all of the car tragedies we've experienced.  In 1999, my dad was hit by another motorist and his car was totalled.  In less than 2 days he had a rental car and in less than 2 weeks had received his check and was driving a… read full review »

I have had Geico for many years. It is light years better than the slimy greedy scumbags at Allstate and others. — Geico is straightforward and usually has the best rates. That and the fact that you never have to deal with an insurance agent makes Geico great. —  I have had several minor claims over many years and the repairs and claims are always dealt with fairly and effeciently. I've had Geico for about 9 years now. I've thought about switching, but can't find any other insurance that's as cheap as them for the coverage I want. I travel a lot so my insurance tends to be a little higher than others, but Geico offers competitive rates. — 2 years ago I had my car stolen and for the most part Geico worked well. They are able to email documents to you so that you don't have to wait for anything in the mail. We switched from Allstate to Geico a little over a year ago and have been very pleased with how much money we were able to save by making the switch. My family is on a fixed income which means a VERY tight budget and this has helped us tremendously. We only own one vehicle- a used one, and we own it outright; therefore we choose to put the least amount of coverage on it that we can. I've been using Geico since I started driving as a teen ohhh 20-some years ago? I have never had a problem or complaint with their service. — Whenever I have needed them, there is a representative on the other end of the line immediately with answers and help. I don't even remember ever having to wait on hold. — Forgot your insurance card and need one faxed to the mechanic/inspection station/government office? Sure! Within seconds, it's on its way. I have had car insuranced with Geico for 39 years. I started with them as a teenager and have continued to be a loyal Geico customer. I have had a car stolen, damaged and found; damage to my car by an out of state driver (when I was not in the car); 'parking lot damage' by someone who drove away; glass damaged and replaced; and 2 accidents during my years with Geico. We been using Geico since 1998.  That is 9 years of GREAT service, low insurance rates, with excellent service when we needed it. We filed a claim in 2001 and the customer service rep was, knowledgable, friendly, and provided us with speedy results.  Making a change to your claim is as easy as 1 2 3. . . .  You can call and talk to someone OR you can log into your account online and make the changes anytime of day or night.  I would highly recommend this company. I had Geico for years and loved them. I never had any problems with billing or anything. They made it so easy when I got my new car and when I got into a accident a few years agothe process was easy and went smoothly and quickly to get my car repaired. I highly reccomend them. Unfourtanetly my rate went up a little do to accident rates in my state with my car and so I got a quote with AAA and they were $60 less for a 6 month policy then Geico. My brother has Geico auto insurance and his truck was stolen out of a mall parking lot, he was never behind on any payments or had any troubles at the time this happened. It has been about 3 months since it has happened and Geico has done nothing to help him out and actually are trying to blame my brother for false theft.  My brother LOVED his truck and cried when the police found it burned out in a field. I have been with Geico for 3 yrs, and have had only good experiences with them, from pricing which continually goes down each time i renew, to the ease of using their website. we have geico for 3 cars in our household, and we pay soooo little it's amazing. i've called other companies for quotes before, and when each one heard what i was paying with geico, they told me to just stick with that. my dad is with geico as well, and just had a wreck, and they've been working fairly quickly to get the claim done. their customer service reps are friendly and very knowledgeable. an extra bonus - you can do everything with them online.… read full review »
