I have been a Cover Girl user for 20+ years. I decided to give Elf a try since it is considerably cheaper. I am hooked. I have very oily skin, prone to breakouts, and do not like the feel of heavy makeup. I am delighted at how Elf foundation covers yet it's very lightweight.

When spring and summer time come I always switch my foundations to either a mineral loose powder type or a compact foundation. I remember using this Elf mineral foundation in the shade color medium beige and it was so weightless it blended in very well with my skin tone. It was easy to apply and it was very light going on smoothly. This foundation gave me great light coverage, it covered most of my imperfections and it didn't make me breakout. It covered my dark circles and my acne scars. I like how I didn't have to keep applying more through out the day. My face didn't get oily, I felt like my face could breathe. It also has spf 15 which is great because it helps prevent future sun damage. I would definitely buy this foundation again, it was affordable and they have many different shades that will blend and make your face look soft. I recommend this to anybody who wants light coverage that will gives a smooth natural look.

From my personal opinion, this foundation is absolutely horrible. When you first apply the foundation it looks very pigmented and rich in color, but when you start to blend or whatever you do to apply your foundation it does nothing, it's kind of like putting a very liquidy lotion on your face. The foundation does not even show up. I do not like this product at all!

Like Bare Minerals, but way more of a lighter coverage without much of a possibility of building it up to a heavier coverage. I gave this a 7 because it does seem to make my skin look a little nicer and since it is so light coverage it looks extremely natural (possibly even more natural than Bare Minerals). I'm afraid it doesn't have much staying power though.

I was sucked in by the marketing from this company--natural ingredients, no animal testing, affordable prices. Blah, blah, blah. I bought this mineral foundation and it came with a brush. Well, the brush made me say, "Ouch!" It was so hard and of very poor quality. I do NOT use it. The mineral makeup I bought in light/fair to go with my fair complexion. This is not mineral makeup folks, not by a long shot. I have used other mineral makeup, including Sheer Cover, which I DO recommend, and the e.l.f. product here is nothing like any mineral makeup of a decent quality. It made my skin look washed out. It didn't blend well onto the skin and ended up looking cakey (if that's possible in a powder makeup?) and well, like makeup. I want a natural, oil free look from mineral makeup. And, to make matters worse, the container is tiny! Sure it was cheap, but give me a break! It lasted me 1/6 of the time a container of Sheer Cover would last me. At that rate, this makeup isn't really cheaper than Sheer Cover any more when I am replacing it all the time. Which I wouldn't do--I'd never buy this or any other e.l.f. product again. Very disappointed.

I was satisfied with this mineral foundation. It goes on easily and creates a very light natural look. It doesn't have very heavy coverage which I liked. If you want more coverage from your foundation this may not be for you. I have used this as a powder over a liquid foundation when I wanted a more covered look and it worked quite well. For the price though you can't beat it!

I was used to paying tons of money for Bare Minerals. When I found e.l.f. I thought it was definitely worth a few bucks to see if something less expensive worked well. I am pleased with the product. The coverage is light - sometimes for an evening look I combine it with a tinted moisturizer so it has more coverage. It's difficult to tell which color will match your skin when ordering online, but the product is so inexpensive that it doesn't matter. It doesn't make me break out and goes on just as smooth as bare minerals. I recommend buying a darker color for highlighting and mixing for summer months. Product didn't make me break out and was good for oil control as well. The packaging was a little lighter than Bare Minerals, but looks almost exactly the same. I noticed that I had to use a little more to get the same amount of coverage, but the price still makes it more than worth it even if you have to use a little more.

The e.l.f. Mineral Foundation products are an average quality mineral makeup. I have the e.l.f. Mineral Foundation in Light and Fair. Now, I am half hispanic and half white, but I am very light skinned. I always have to buy the lightest shades of face makeup so that's what I did with these e.l.f. Mineral products. First, I bought the Light shade and it made my face a little orange looking so I decided that the Fair shade would be right for me, but that color also leaves my skin with a slightly peachy tint. If you have a tan these products would probably match you perfectly, but I don't go tanning so these are not a perfect match for me. However, they come closer to my color than more expensive brands. These products give me average coverage too. These products don't cover up acne scars very well. So if your prone to get acne scars or rosecea these won't give you the complete coverage you need.

For the price, I thought I would at least give the e.l.f. mineral foundation powder a try. Mineral foundation is THE big thing lately, so I thought I'd start with something inexpensive to see how I would like it. Well, unfortunately, I did not like this product much at all. I wasn't expecting it to be the best thing I have ever tried, but I also wasn't expecting it to basically do nothing. Unfortunately, I found that this mineral foundation is really nothing special. It provided me with absolutely no coverage at all, had an unpleasant smell, and just generally did nothing for my skin at all. So that I didn't completely waste it, I ended up using it along with another foundation just to help set the other stuff. By itself, it was fairly worthless to me and something I will not be buying again. I can't recommend this product to anyone who is looking for even the least amount of coverage at all. There are many other products out there in a similar price range that work much better and do not have the unpleasant smell that e.l.f mineral foundation has. Save your money and buy something a little better quality and you will be happier in the long run.

I bought the e.l.f. Mineral foundation for acne prone skin in shear and I like it. It has sulfur but I can't smell it at all. I have a pretty good sense of smell so I think it's nicely hidden. However, I don't think it works on my acne at all. I do love using it to conceal other flaws. It's a great price for mineral makeup especially compared to other mineral makeup brands. It's supposed to come with a brush, which I really like. However, the first time I ordered this product from the site, the box it came in did not contain a brush. They have the best customer service when it comes to these things, which unfortunately do happen a good deal since an order mistake happened to a friend of mine a few months back as well. Anyway, they emailed me back and sent the brush as well as a new jar of mineral makeup. The delievery was very quick as well, it happened within a week of my email. Good product but not great, still recommended. Beware, brushes might not come in the kits but a quicky email can solve that without any more out of pocket expenses.
