I found Jane Iredale pure pressed base in 2003 and have been using it ever since.  It's very light weight, yet it goes on evenly and looks perfect and lasts all day long.  One compact lasts months.  I bought my last 2 refills the first week in December and one lasted until April so that's about 5 months and so I just started using the 2nd refill.  You don't get that out of ANY other foundation.  I am 37, almost 38 and have adult acne and this foundation is the only one I have found that doesn't clog my pores.  I have tried other mineral foundations such as Pure Minerals, even MAC's mineral foundation and neither compare to Jane Iredale's pure pressed base foundation.  The coverage you get from this foundation can't be beat, either.  It covers blemishes and makes your face appear flawless and fresh.   I am wearing it in both of the pictures on my profile so you can see clearly that it does provide great coverage.  You can go into any office that sells Jane Iredale and get a make over to see what colors you need for your complexion.  If you are already paying high prices for Mac or other high end make up then you should at least give Jane Iredale a try.

THE BEST mineral foundation

By

Comments about Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation:

I LOVE the Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral foundation. There's just something about this product that literally makes me feel like a supermodel. When I apply this product, I feel like I don't need anything else other than mascara to make me look amazing. Something about this foundation is magical.

Although this product is a powder, I never find that my skin looks powdery after applying it. The foundation is full coverage, yet it's not at all visible on the skin. When I wear this product, everything I want covered on my skin vanishes, yet my freckles and natural skin still show through. I don't know how that works, but it's amazing.

My favorite thing about this foundation is the finish. This product makes me skin look glowy, and it keeps my skin from becoming oily throughout the day. I never have a problem with this foundation wearing off throughout the day, either.

This is an amazing foundation!

Lightweight foundation that gives great coverage

Comments about Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation:

My skin gets really oily no matter what I use on my face. I like totry different types of foundation just to see if there's that one that will make my face look less oily. I tried using this Purepressed base mineral foundation and it was totally amazing to my face. It gave me full coverage without making me feel like I was wearing a mask. It was very light and it didn't feel heavy. It covered a lot of my imperfections on my face and it lasted all day on my face. My face hasn't looked oily and I only have to apply this foundation once a day and it stays. Its very gentle to my face and doesn't make me breakout. I would strongly recommend this to anybody who wants a natural look. It doesn't even look like I'm wearing any foundation on my face. My face feels matte and looks a lot softer and smoother. I always feel like my face has this natural glow of radiance. This foundation is a bit pricey but its totally worth every penny because its light and gives amazing coverage. It even covered my old acne scars I had.

Made it easier to put on makeup in the morning!

Comments about Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation:

I absolutely loved this pressed powder. When I use this, I feel like concealer and other things you would put on with foundation is definitely not necessary. This product gives me full and complete coverage, and it isn't cakey. My skin looks absolutely wonderful, and people ask me what I do to keep my skin looking so great.

Covers everything.

Comments about Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation:

I love this compressed powder. It works great and it covers everything from tiny little blackheads to huge pimples. Personally, I still put on liquid foundation before this for my trouble spots, but this really does make your skin look clear and smooth, and it looks natural, not cakey like some other powders. The best part is that it's in a compressed container so it's easy to carry around for travel. It saves a lot of space and it's easy to put on anytime. It works really well and doesn't leave my skin dry, like some other powders that I've tried. It almost completely eliminates the need to use a liquid foundation for cover up, but I still do, just in case. I borrowed this from my friend and when it worked perfectly right away, I knew I had to buy it for myself. Just make sure you get the right shade or you'll end up looking fake and unreal. You hardly need to even reapply; it works almost the whole day.

Doesn't contain harmful ingredients and protects from the sun.

Comments about Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation:

This powdered foundation is so rich with color that it looks really convincing. It makes a lot of people think I'm going natural. This doesn't easily come off throughout the day.Even while I do strenuous things like running track or hurdling. It's absolutely a must for me to use this foundation at least when I go the gym.It just doesn't come off like my other ones do.I really prefer liquid foundation, but I will give this foundation that one plus over my favorite liquid foundation. It doesn't contain talc or oil.I have read some really scary things about talc. That it is a suspected carcinogen.I don't prefer to have an already unnecessary ingredient that's a possible carcinogen.Because it's oil free it helps with preventing future acne breakouts.Another great benefit is the spf 20.This helps to prevent damage to my skin without having to apply sunblock to my face.

Great Base, and Really Works As Effective SPF

By

from USA

Comments about Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation:

I had the fortune of working in a spa that carried Jane Iredale makeup, so I was able to get several colors of the PurePressed base to try out. Warm Sienna is a great color with a broad base of coverage. It will accommodate many skin tones. The PurePress base comes with a sponge applicator, but I highly recommend getting the Handi brush for application. It goes on lighter that way. Probably one of my favorite uses for this base is as a non-toxic SPF for my daughter. Of course, it is not waterproof, but for a couple of hours out in the sun it will protect even baby skin. My child is light-skinned, and she never had a hint of redness when using this. The other alternative for babies is greasy sunscreen that you have to wash off. I much prefer brushing on a heavy dose of this natural skincare for sunny outings. Although I have had this tossed around in a travel bag, purse, and diaper bag, care should be taken to keep PurePressed bases from getting bumped around too much. They are definitely prone to breaking up since they don't have toxic binders.

Made a believer out of me!

Comments about Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation:

As a MAC enthusiast, I'm always skeptical when I get a recommendation to try a makeup product from another brand, but I figured I'd give this one a shot because a girl always needs a good pressed powder, and I was never really satisfied with the ones from MAC and boy am I glad I did!
First, like many pale people I have a problem with the very light shades of makeup, both liquid and pressed powders, turning me orange, this one doesn't! Hallelujah!
I hate those powders that make you feel like you're putting concrete powder onto your face and this one definitely does not! It's so light and airy, and very comfortable to wear! And even though it has SPF in it, it doesn't smell like suntan lotion!
I don't have to constantly reapply this, even when my skin gets oily throughout the day, it holds up and stays the distance!
The powder also doesn't break up easily like many other compacts do! This is a product I'll always be in love with!

The best foundation for oily skin

By

from San Francisco, CA

Comments about Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation:

There are certain problems I have when trying to find the perfect foundation. I have very oily skin, which makes liquid foundations not the best choice, plus I have Asian skin and I can NEVER find the right color foundation in most stores (99.9% of the time foundations are too pink). My esthetician carries Jane Iredale cosmetics and matched the right color to my skintone. I love it! It lasts all day and doesn't make me look like I have "stuff" all over my face. The coverage is great for my acne scars-huge plus. While I can't find Jane Iredale in department stores or drug stores, the fact that this line has a color that matches my skin tone AND is in powder form for my oily skin makes it worth the effort and also worth every penny. And I love that I can just by the refills and reuse the same compact.

I LOVE this makeup

By

from Blackfoot, ID

Comments about Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation:

I have used Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation for about 6 years now. I would **never** switch to another makeup. The coverage is great and yet it doesn't feel as if you are wearing any makeup.

One of the things that I love about it is the minerals. If I do have a blemish on my face it heals faster when I wear the makeup. The minerals are so beneficial for my skin. And as opposed to other mineral makeups there is no contract to receive more makeup on a preset basis.

I really love the new refillable compact. The makeup cost less and there is less waste. I can't say enough about how much I love this foundation.

Thanks Jane Iredale for making such a great product.
