This product in a nutshell: is an average clothing detergent that lacks any sort of extraordinary talents. My son is allergic to all the name brand laundry detergents EXCEPT "Xtra"....The cheapest stuff you can find....LOL....Yes you do have to prespot and let soak for the harder kid stains and grease takes a bit of work to remove but I don't have skin breakouts or rashes so its totally worth it! I highly recommend anyone that has allergy issues to give this product a try. I have been using it for 10 years . I have tried other detergents over the years just to see what happens and I wind up with rashes so I am stuck on Xtra! xtra only when you need extra

I recently bought xtra laundry detergent. was short on cash and looking for a bargin. Well I didn't get the bargin I bargin for. You had to use twice as much to get a load clean It was okay for lightly soiled clothes but not for the kids clothes that are really dirty. i didn't find it took out the stains then lets say tide would have. You had to spot clean more then you would with a better detergent. You could probably get a better detergent with a coupon for about the same price

Smells good, but average detergent

I like the price of this detergent, which used to be $2.99. I figured it would be average - but it is sufficient for clean mildly-soiled clothing- which is the case most of the time I do laundry. It has worked satisfactory on clothing that has been pooped on by my cat. (If I leave a pile of clothing unattended - my cat is drawn to it to potty on it for some reason.)

My favorite version is the green bottle with Mountain Breeze scent.
