great

Comments about Whirlpool Cabrio 7.6 cu.ft. Gas Dryer:

I've had this dryer for about 2 years now and there are a lot of great features on it. It dries clothes in a reasonable amount of time, and acurately tells me how long remains on the cycle. The lint trap is very easy to clean and seems to catch most everything. I love the auto-tumble feature that keeps the clothing from wrikling if I don't get back to it right away. It goes for up to 90 minutes after the cycle ends, and beeps every 10 minutes to remind me that it's still waiting for me. Not all settings can be adjusted on all cycle types, so sometimes I do have to fiddle a bit with which "mode" it is in before I can make the adjustments I want. I do wish that you could just pick a time and temp without having readjust the setting on the dial first. Also, I haven't been too thrilled with the steam option. It helps, but it's not great and most things are still noticeably wrinkled after coming out.

Cabrio disappoints again

By

Comments about Whirlpool Cabrio 7.6 cu.ft. Gas Dryer:

I purchase  a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer and am VERY disppointed in both of them. I love the idea of saving energy and time, but this item does neither since a normal load ot sheets and towels that I used to do in my old Kenmore takes 80 minutes to wash and yesterday it actually took 3 drying cycles to get it dry. That's almost 2 hours. That means it didnt save money, didnt save time and it sure didnt save any electricity. Additionally, the clothes always come out really wrinkled unless you do small loads which defeats the purpose since one of the selling points is that you can do LARGE loads. I spent WAY more money for this piece of junk than I would have on a basic Kenmore or even the basic Whirlpool and got something that makes more work for myself since I have to wait and wait or do small loads. My husband was so excited for me to finally get somehting "top of the line" and I dont want him to know how devastated I am by this piece of junk, but what can I do ??? Wish I could just exchange it for a different Whirlpool.
