DO NOT BUY ANY WESTINGHOUSE PRODUCTS!!!! First, let me preface this by saying I have NEVER posted a negative review. I am not one of those people that just can't be made happy or simply wants to complain over the smallest of things. However, this company has me so angry I am doing the only thing I can do to protect fellow consumers from the hassle I am going through. Last year we bought a Westinghouse TV. Prior to the warranty running out, the picture on the tv went out. It still had sound but no picture. According to the warranty, we had to mail the tv back to Westinghouse so they could look at it and send a replacement tv. After $90.00 in shipping cost and 6 weeks of waiting without a tv, Westinghouse sent a TV. This TV is obviously 3-4 years older than the tv we purchased. The replacement tv does not work properly. The screen flashes white every 10 seconds - like lightening flashing through your tv program - not only annoying but close to causing a seizure defect! The replacement TV had not even been looked at before they sent it or they would have known it was broken! I was livid. The tv also does not have all of the same options as the one we purchased, does not swivel, etc but Westinghouse swears it is comparable. It is the same size and it is a tv, so it is not like they sent us a 40" microwave! So I called their customer service line back - you can't talk to anyone at the actual corporate headquarters only the call center. The agent understood my frustration and agreed to send a prepaid packing slip and another replacement tv at the same time so that we would not incur additional shipping cost or have to wait another 6 weeks for the tv. 3 weeks later, still no label I called again. This time the agent just put through for a refund since we were having so many issues and were being completely ignored by the company. 2 weeks later I get an email saying I can't have a refund but if I file a new claim they will start the process over to repair and replace the tv. I re-filed the claim April 2 and today 5/16/15, I have never gotten a response. Furthermore, when I filed the new case I was told they would not provide the shipping label as promised and would not send a tv until they got this tv back and went through their process. This would make $180 in shipping on a $250 TV brand new???? I am sure in someone's world that makes sense. So I am still fighting with them. I am going to place this review on every site they advertise on. Save yourself the hassle and don't buy from a company that will not stand behind their own warranty and services customers by ignoring them and hoping they will go away. Shame on you Westinghouse!!!!
