I received this as a "gift" from my parents. They were no longer using it and had it stored in their basement. I was in need of a coffee pot for our new fifth wheel camper. Mom never really said why she quit using it (she has since past away so sadly I can't ask her) but my guess (based on using it myself) is that when you go to pour the coffee, it spills. The coffee pot itself has a nice slick design, but is nothing super fancy. Other than the carafe, it is mostly glossy black plastic. There is one switch, which is to turn it on and off. The switch is a toggle-type, so very simple to use. The switch has a blue illuminated power light to let you know whether it is on or off. Good thing, since there is no auto shut off with this coffee maker. Keep that in mind if you are one to forget to turn your machine off! One nice feature is that it does come with a reusable nylon filter. It does have a pause and pour feature for the brewing cycle. Makes a fast pot of coffee, probably no more than 5 minutes for a full twelve cup pot. For the price I paid (free!) I can live with the flaws. Brew Performance fast Ease of Cleaning pot is dishwasher safe Ease of Use one switch Design carafe drips when pouring. Durability It has handled a season of bouncing down the road in our camper!
