DO NOT BUY Purina bought out all Waggin Train products and moved the plants over to China. Since then, the products are making dogs sick or the dogs are dying. The FDA hasn't issued a mandatory recall yet on these products and Purina refuses to do a voleentary recall. This goes for ALL Waggin' Train treats.

I have three dogs at my house and we love to give them treats that they enjoy every once and awhile. My dogs already love the waggin train chicken tenders so I thought I'd give these twists a try. They're basically rawhide wrapped around a liver center and I thought the rawhide would make the treats last longer. Unfortunately, however, my dogs aren't very fond of rawhide so they figured out how to unwrap the twists so they could get to the liver center. Then they just left the rawhide curls scattered around the house and wouldn't touch them again. If your dog likes to chew on harder treats and enjoys rawhide then these might work well for you, but if your dog is like mine and prefers softer meatier treats then you might want to try something else.

My dog was an avid chewer when he was a puppy, so we looked for a bone that would satify his chewing need (and give our furniture a break). We tried several different bones, but in the end Waggin Train pork skin twists were the best. My dog loves them. He will chew on it all day (and for a good part of the night), and it will still take him several days to finish one. So, not only do they tast great for dogs, but they are long-lasting. The only negative think I can say about them is that they can be a bit messy. When my dog chews on it, pieces of the liver center will come out and create a mess (which he happily cleans up later). All in all, this is the best bone for small dogs I have found, and I would recommend it to anyone who has a small dog.
