The Vizio - SV472XVT 47 inch HDTV LCD TV has it all--large screen, clear picture, and fair-good sound quality. We bought this television over two years ago, and it still works great. I know some people prefer a larger tv, but this one is perfect for us. I think it still looks big to me because the stand we have it on is exactly as wide as the TV (if we had a larger stand, the TV would be dwarfed). It's big, but not too big. The only complaint I have, which isn't really Vizio's fault, is that my baby girl threw the remote in the trash (we assume--it's been lost for over six months!), and it's a pain to use the manual controls. There is only one button that spins on a dial to select everything (thank heavens it has an input option, or we'd be out of luck since we switch inputs often). There are all kinds of ports on the tv, including VGA and HDMI. The online capability is nice, but not accessible without the remote (luckily, our bluray player also has network apps).

I like this TV but not how it is being marketed. Since the vizio commercials contain quite-apparent youtube clips in them, it is EXTREMELY disappointing to find out that NO youtube app is even possible on the brand new VIZIO I just purchased. what did they mean by showing youtube clips in their commercials, then? wishful thinking? Also, a web enabled tv that is not suitable for web browsing is about as useful as a hose that is not suitable enough to allow drinking. you can wet your garden but you can't quench your thirst! I'm extremely satisfied with the quality of the pictures, but not of the incomplete internet features: Weather radar app and Netflix feature are golden. Flickr and Pandora are useful. However, Facebook app is sluggish and limited. Don't expect to see the trademark layout, content and features of facebook that you could imagine if you hear a TV with facebook on it. It's more like how people can accessing facebook from an old, slow, non-apple, camera phone. Overall, 3.5 out of 5 stars and not a bad product for the price. Wireless connectivity apparently only works with routers, NOT other devices (widi, ad hoc, etc). Couldn't get bluetooth devices to connect either, after several attempts. Remote control is ok, QWERTY-based, but typing on the buttons can be awkward, since they mimic a basic TV remote, not as convenient as hammering away on a phone or remote wireless key pad. The keystrokes are recorded with such delay that you will not approach any WPM records.

When I first got this tv mounted up on the wall, I thought, "wow! this is the biggest and best tv I've ever seen" (I went from a fat 27" tv to this 47" flat screen, so it's understandable that I was so blown away.) The picture quality is so clear on the vizio, and it looks beautiful. I only have basic over-the-air channels, but even those look crystal clear. When watching dvds and blurays, the picture also comes out stellar. The tv comes with more than enough inputs in the back, and an HDMI port with easy access on the side to hook up a computer or laptop. The buttons on the side are easy to switch the tv on, as well as volume, channels, and switching between inputs. The tv looks great in my living room, and the only thing I can say is that now that I have gotten used to this display, I wish it was slightly bigger.

We received this TV for Christmas from my in-laws. Actually, we received another Vizio model (same size) and it didn't work correctly. We stared at it for a couple of days and just couldn't get the picture right. So, we returned it and were blown away when we plugged this one in. It is so crisp,so clear! We do not have cable (which is an injustice to this TV, I know) but were blown away by the clarity of the local network channels. They only broadcast in 780p, but this TV makes them look amazing. The brightness is the greatest feature. The whites are so crisp and true to color, and the blacks are truly black, not grey since there is no backlighting. AND SPORTS ARE AMAZING!! motion blur is not an issue!! I love this TV. The apps are fun if you hook up the internet, but not something we use a lot. I think we are just blown away by the technology of internet TVs overall. We have a PS3 that we use to run the internet. I like that we have the option of renting movies through the VUDU app, but other than that, not much we use. I am waiting for Hulu to create an app to use with this TV. We use Hulu more than anything. The remote is awesome. It has a slider that opens like a cell phone with a keyboard underneath. Neat, but I think it might not hold up in the future. A couple other reviews I read described it as "cheap." My husband did program our audio equipment to work through the television remote, so that is an improvement.

I bought this TV for my husband last July to put in his "man cave". When I purchased the TV I had no intention on using the TV because we have a big family TV down stairs. Then one night I happened to walk by while my husband was watching a movie and it caught my eye. The sharpness of the picture are out of this world. You can see every small detail and it's fantastic. I will not watch TV down stairs anymore and all football games are watched on the Vizio.

My mother in law purchased this Vizio LCD HDTV for my husband and i when we moved into our new home.  It was the perfect accent to out home.  This is the best television we have ever owned by far.  My husband researched flat screens for a while and we found out shortly after that Vizio was the best of quality and price all in one.  We usually buy sony brand but this was a gift from my mother in law that we were very happy to accept.  I love the fact that it is very modern and sleek looking.  It is also very very easy to clean and wipe down when it gets child fingerprints or slight dust.  One of the best things about this LCD television is that it never ever gets glares.  Are other televisions that we own are the regular kind with the glass screen.  And glares can be so annoying when you are trying to watch a movie or a show.  It is very easy to set up with surround sound and the remote is very nice as well. ;)

My husband just got us this TV a few months ago. I love it because it is very big. I didn't think 47 inches would be as big as it now is.  It has great picture quality and the HD is so clear that it sometimes is almost too clear.  It is great for playing video games and it really brings out the details in the graphics. As to the Internet apps I am not sure it is neccessary. It is a nice feature but I would not pay more money for a tv just for the internet apps because usually you just use your computer or even smart phone for it.  So the price was a little steep for my taste but I am glad we have it in the end. I know Vizio is sometimes seen as a cheap kind of tv, but I love the quality.
