The Viking Professional Blender is just that, a professional grade blender that can handle any job you throw at it! I've made mixed drinks, smoothies, ice cream shakes, protein drinks, and even just shaved down ice with it. It is very versatile and very effective. It is also very quick. You don't have to stand there blending forever. It comes apart easily for cleaning in the dishwasher, which is super nice. The blades are sharp and the base they're mounted on is small, so you do have to watch your fingers with that. The one thing about it that is weird, though, is reassembly. The base part that holds the blades and screws onto the vessel part is very counter-intuitive. You actually have to screw the opposite direction from "righty-tighty." Once you figure it out, though, it becomes much easier and less frustrating! So make sure you read the directions!! But, overall I would definitely recommend Viking blenders!
