The Vita Mix is a work horse of a blender - our best yet!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

About two years ago I started making a fruit smoothie every morning.  Frozen strawberries, a banana, orange juice, yogurt, and flax seed (and more recently blue berries).  Unfortunately I found that our standard Kitchen Aid blender was not up to the task.  It simply could not handle the frozen strawberries.  I would fight with it by starting and stopping and tilting the blender but I eventually became frustrated. So I did a bit of research and found the Breville Blender which even had a special smoothie setting.  I was happy with this blender for several months but it seemed to lose its initial effectiveness over time.  The seals started leaking, the blades seem...

I purchased my Vita-Mix 5200 Blender after seeing it demonstrated at Sam's Club. Although it is very expensive, it is a worthwhile investment. I have had three cheaper blenders that have been virtually useless for any heavy duty use. The Vita-Mix 5200 can crush ice, blend frozen berries, or handle any other tough task you give it. It comes with a cookbook full of recipes you can make in your blender - from soups to smoothies, to sauces.  You can also use the Vita-Mix 5200 for grinding herbs, seeds, coffee beans, flour, etc. I use mine every single morning to make a fruit and yogurt smoothie for breakfast. You will be able to save money making smoothies yourself with this blender. The blender is easy to clean, you just fill it part way with hot water, add two drops of dish soap, blend and rinse. I would recommend this blender to anyone. Don't waste your money buying a cheap blender which won't do the job!

I am in love with the Vita-Mix Variable-Speed Blender 5200.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Vita-Mix Variable-Speed Blender 5200 is by far one of my favorite kitchen appliances. My old blender broke down just last month, and despite my crazy smoothie cravings, I was nervous about finding a new blender. But once I tried the Vita-Mix Variable-Speed Blender 5200, I was hooked. I wish that I had bought this blender years ago. It is incredible. It is compact, and it takes up hardly any space at all on my countertop. The blending blades are powerful, and my blender has yet to meet something that it can't chop, dice, or mince in record time. Also, the power that this blender possesses means that it can get bigger jobs done faster, and that means that I can spend less time prepa...

Great product Vita-Mix Variable-Speed Blender 5200

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have had this blender for a long time and it's value is well worth it after you have used it a few years. Vita-Mix blenders are generally more costly than other blenders, so it is an investment. I think Jamba Juice also uses these blenders so you know that you are paying for a quality product (sharp blade that can handle anything, powerful motor). You should buy this product if you like making your own smoothies, etc. Of course, it can make other things like purees, sauces, soups. I have only used the blender for cold drinks and it evenly blends anything I put into it. I guess the only hang-up I have is that certain things (like flax seeds) can stick to its side and hide underneath the blade which makes it hard to clean up. When I have this problem, I simply put in a little soapy water and run the blender for a few seconds. This helps clean up.

Buy a Vitamix!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I bought this after wanting one for years. I try to feed my family as naturally as I can. Vitamix makes it easy for me to do that. This appliance is awesome. I have made soup, made ice cream, and pizza dough. It chops veggies in a snap. We have made powdered sugar. I make all my sauces from scratch in minutes, thank to the Vitamix 5200.

It makes cooking so much easier. It is a WONDERFUL for smoothies. We make smoothies nearly daily, and literally takes a minute for it to chop up frozen fruits. It took much longer with my old blender, and it got to the point where I stopped making smoothies for my daughter.

Yes, the price tag is tough to handle, but it will replace 2-3 of your old appliances. And every Vita mix is put together by hand, and has a 7 year warranty. Buy one, it is worth it.

the best blender...ever

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Time after time I would watch the demonstration at Costco and drool over the functions of this machine. Finally one day, my husband said I could buy it. It has not let us down at all. We use it all the time - mostly for smoothies but have found a variety of other uses as well. I can make salad dressings, oat flour (for some amazing chocolate chip cookies I make) soups and ice cream. I love the way it crushes ice and makes it smooth. It came with a great recipe book that really helps you to know what kinds of things it can do. You can make peanut butter, mayonnaise, butter - what a great machine. I highly recommend this to anyone who is health conscious and wants to eat more whole foods. It's a great product.

I don't think I could live without it!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I know that's bold statement, but I really don't think I could live without my Vita-Mix. First off, yes, it is expensive, so start saving your pennies. However, it is completely worth the money! I grind oats into oat flour on a daily basis. I made green smoothies (and the occasional not so healthy smoothie or frozen dessert). I have used it to make hot soups that went from raw ingredients to piping hot cooked soup in 5 to 7 minutes! Cleaning it is easy if you do it right away. You just put a squirt of detergent in the container along with some water and turn it up to high for 30 seconds to a minute. Rinse it out, and put it pack on the base and it's ready for your next Vita-Mix adventure! LOVE MINE!

Vita Mix The best blender ever

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I love the Vita Mix Blender. It is easy to use and easy to clean up. You can make anything in this blender. We make soup, shakes, batters and more. The motor is so powerfull it can crush up the ice and blend drinks all at once. It is so powerfull that it heats liquids to make delicious soups that are actually hot. The recipes that come with the blender are awesome. I am a picky eater but you can make vanilla ice cream add cabbage to it and not even taste it. We eat an awesome soup with beans and vegetables and you would never know the vegetables are in the soup. The blender is very sturdy and it comes with a damper which is a tool to push the food down while the machine is on to mak...

An amazing appliance, but definitely an investment piece.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I really love my Vita-Mix and have been wanting one for many many years.  It does all of the amazing things it claims to on the website, infomercials, QVC presentations, etc.  I have definitely been pleased with my purchase.  You will be astounded by how much more flavor is available to your palate when your foods are blended as smoothly as this machine can blend.  But if you want something to simply be chopped, it can do that as well.  I also made the thickest, dreamiest whipped cream you can imagine in it the other day.  Cleanup is so easy - you just put a little soap and water in the container and run the machine and rinse.

My sister has a Vita-Mi...

A Real Work Horse

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I've had my Vita Mix for over 14 years and it's still working hard.  I can do any job I want in in from crushing ice, making smoothies with ice and frozen foods, grinding coffee beans, making frozen yogurt, mixing drinks and so much more.  This is a versatile appliance that can take the place of many other appliances in one.  My only wish is that it had a smaller container for those little jobs I sometimes need it for and hate to pull out the large container.  Otherwise, this blender can handly almost anything.  The Vita Mix is a little pricey but I purchased mine on the layaway plan Vita Mix had so I could work it into  my budget.

does it all and worth every penny

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I had read many things about the Vita-Mix but never dreamed I would get one. Then one day I was walking around Sam's Club with my husband and talking about how I needed a new wheat grinder and was telling him how Vita-Mixes can grind wheat, and all of a sudden we see that their is a Vita-Mix show going on! I had never seen one in person so I was very impressed by how well and how easily it blended so many things together. We of course bought one right then and got to work on making a smoothie as soon as we got home and got it washed. There is virtually nothing that the Vita-Mix can't handle. Whole apples, pears, chunks of frozen fruit, the Vita-Mix blends it all together. Being able to throw...

this 'Vita-Mix Variable-Speed Blender' is my kitchens BFF

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

the** Vita-Mix Variable-Speed Blender 5200 **does wonders for me. I love using it because its fast and cuts everything up really fast. It is great for when i like to blend fruit smoothies for my friends or family. It also looks very nice and stylish. When ever i have guests over at the house the first thing that takes their attention to them is this blender. And all they want to do is put a bunch of foods and drinks etc. in there. They get so fascinated by it and keep asking me questions like "how much it cost?" or "where did you get it from?" and i always tell them and they go to get one. It works perfectly and chops every thing so efficiently and that is just what i love about it. I do not what i would do without it because my old blender took centuries to blend things and it did not even blend everything, it left little chunks. That is why i am so happy with my "Vita-Mix Variable-Speed Blender 5200!"

awesome

Overall

I have always had a vitamix.  My current model is the vitamix 5200 blender.  It does not come cheap.  I use my vitamix 5200 blender daily.  This is a super power machine and does super power mixing.  I use it to juice all types of fruits and vegetables.  the directions say that you can even juice the peels or skins, but when I have done that i think you get kind of a bitter taste except with carrots and potatoes.  The most frequent items that i make with this are soups, juices, and smoothies.  Soup is a breeze,  I just toss in any kind of vegetable that I have on hand and blenderize into a nice creamy wholesome soup.  the same is true with sm...

it's a work horse!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

My husband and I actually have a blender we love that works really well but we decided to make the jump to a vitamix as we decided to incorporate more raw food into our diets and needed a food processor type machine. Not only does the Vitamix replace our blender and juicer, it doubles as a food processor and even makes soup!  It is truly amazing.  My husband has put it to the test making smoothie concoctions with fruits and veggies and it is a work horse!  We bought ours at Costco which I highly recommend.  It come packaged with a cookbook that actually has some pretty good recipes.  We did somehow manage to break the tamper that comes with it on day 2, but with Cost...

perfection - you will begin to expect it in your kitchen

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

You will save a lot of money after you buy this pricey blender. It's that good. You will need to think about this point a bit, until you have the Vitamix in your kitchen for a week, or maybe less. After which you will wonder why you waited for so long to get one for yourself. A fantastic blender means, you can buy bulk food and turn it into world-class nutrition. That saves a lot of money.
