I have always been worried for my dog because it is said that large breed dogs like my German Sheppard are known to have hip problems as they get older and other joint problems. I have always tried to be proactive in issues like that and since chondroitin helps human joints when I saw this product I thought it would be a perfect supplement to my dog's care to give him it before he gets joint problems. I have had no problems with this product, no side effects, and I get the relief of mind that I am doing everything I can with preventative care for him so he doesn't end up with bad hips. He is more than a dog, he is a part of our family. I am glad that Trader Joe's makes this product as it seems to be working he hasn't had any joint issues yet even though he is now 4 years old. Quality of Ingredients Works great and he doesn't mind taking it. Side Effects I haven't noticed any side effects. He seems just as happy as always and has not had any rashes or other indications that the treatment is not working as it should.
