We've had this appliance for over ten years and it has yet to skip a beat. We temporarily replaced it with another fancier brand that was given to us as a present ,which did not even last for six months. After the new toaster oven/ oven failed we brought back the old reliable Toastmaster, and it hasn't given us any problems. We use it multiple times a day to toast, reheat , bake or broil. It can hold 4 large pieces of bread , 4 large burgers, 2 large steaks and so on ,... so the size is very nice and it does not take up a huge amount of counter space. The only problem, which really isn't a problem, is that you initially have to learn at which levels to put the inside pieces (moveable grill) and which temperature settings you desire. The inside parts are easily removable and can be cleaned in the dishwasher if you so desire. The outside of this model is white with chrome trim, so it's not too hard to clean it off.

We received this toaster oven as a wedding gift, and I have to say I am surprised how much I like it. My husband requested it/picked it out, and I am so glad he did! I didn't grow up with a toaster oven in the house, so I didn't view it as an essential household item, but it has been a lifesaver recently: our oven blew a fuse during the self-cleaning cycle and was out of order for a couple of weeks, so we had to depend on the Toastmaster more than once during that time! It does a great job baking potatoes, and it is great not to have to turn on the big oven and heat up the kitchen just for a few potatoes. I even roasted a small pork loin in it while the big oven was out of order, and I was surprised at how well it worked, amazing! This product has definitely proved to be a time-saver as well as an energy-saver.

I received the Toastmaster toaster oven as a wedding present last year.  I did have it on my registry and I blame my husband for that because he was rushing me.  I wish I had taken the time to look at the other models before choosing this one.  I hate this oven.  The thing I hate most is the fact that I can't toast both sides of the bread at the same time.  You have to flip the bread over after a few minutes to do the other side.  I also find it strange that there is only one heat bar going across the top right in the middle.  It does not evenly toast the bread at all.  There is a heat bar on the bottom but it doesn't toast the bottom part of the bread....Very cheaply made appliance, if you ask me.  To avoid using this, I actually now toast my bread in my actual oven.  It's a pain in the butt, but works much better than my one of a kind toastmaster!  It is certainly one of a kind.  Wouldn't recommend it.

I received this Toastmaster toaster oven for a shower gift.  I didn't have it on my registry and would have chosen something else. I wish that I would have gotten something else.  There are too many hotspots and it doesn't cook evenly.  We tested it out by putting couple of slices of bread on a tray in the toaster oven.  Set it to cook and took it out after a while.  There were some sides that were dark, some that were lightly browned and some that was still white. Now I know that it does not cook evenly.  Also I do not like that it does not have temperatures to set it at.  It was all one temperature, and there was broil.  That's it.  I would have liked to choose if I wanted to cook vegetables at a lower temperature or pizza at a higher temperature.  I could choose the length of time.  After using it for a couple of weeks, I finally gave up and got rid of it.  I coudn't take the unevenness in cooking.  I am now on a search to find another toaster oven.

In looking for ways to cut power usage, I've tried different things, some of which worked better than others.  One of the energy savers I've really liked is my Toastmaster 4-Slice Toaster Oven Broiler, a neat-looking little white countertop oven that takes the place of our defunct toaster as well as doing some of the baking.  I don't eat toast very often, cut my husband does, and he says this works better than the last few conventional pop-up toasters we have had.  He tells me it also does a great job on english muffins and hot dog buns. For making baked potatoes or casseroles, however, the regular oven works far better.  The Toastmaster takes far too long and probably ends up using as much if not more energy. For small baking jobs, this toaster oven does an excellent job.  I use it for a wonderful walnut shortbread recipe in which I have to toast the walnuts in the oven tray before chopping them finely, then bake the pan of shortbread for about 30 minutes.  I've made this perhaps eight times and it has always been perfect.  I've had good luck with cornbread in the little oven, too. It's in the summer that I save the most energy using the Toastmaster, because I don't have to run air-conditioning to cool down the house after heating it up using the big oven!  I really like my Toastmaster and if it died I'd probably get the same kind again.

I have been very disappointed in this Toastmaster oven.  I bought it to replace my old under the counter oven that I had for many years and they quick making.  The Toastmaster oven takes "forever" to preheat and after using it for serveral months a brown, burnt stain has appeared on the rim of the door that will not wash or scour off.  When this oven dies I will NOT replace it with the same oven.

I bought this when I was having trouble with the big oven lighting. I couldn't afford a new oven at the time and this takes the place of the oven and the toaster! My son has made everything in this that we used to make in the big oven. If it broke tomorrow I would replace it with the same modal.
