T-Mobile Review Summary

Our reviewers have given T-Mobile solid marks as a cell phone provider. One of the primary reasons for this is that the pricing is fair and there are perks to being a customer for a certain period of time. One reviewer remarks “I would not change my cell phone service provider for any reason.” Of course, customer service can only get you so far, what about overall quality? “I haven’t yet experienced a dropped call or a problem making a call” says one happy customer. Not so fast, though, some reviewers have reported that in some places they have hit dead spots, which leads us to the primary complaint; T-Mobile needs more coverage. Still want to look around? We’ve got reviews of many more cell phone service providers.

I can not say enough great things about T Mobile customer service....that is the main reason I stay with this cell phone provider.  Every problem (there have been only a few) has been handled in a friendly, professional and courteous manner.  They will take as much time as needed to fix any problem...

After 7 years of $100 a month for 800 minutes at Verizon, I finally got out and got a To Go plan with TMobile.  I was given a free Nokia 2160 with carrier, charger, an refused  d headset.  I had my phone number transferred from Verizon to TMobile.  But Verizon refused to release it. So TMobile put on the boxing gloves & got it moved.  So now I was a TMobile customer & learned that $100 gets me 1200 minutes that are good for a year.  I am then termed a GOLD MEMBER who gets 15% additional minutes to any future purchase of minutes.  So I returned to pick up my phone & the manager gave me a...

I have to say I have used AT&T, Sprint and Cingular and I have never had better service.  I have been with them for 7 years now and I hope they never go away.  They work things out with you when you have a problem and best of all they admit when they make a mistake....AND guess what else?!  They fix it!

That is right a company that actually fixes mistakes they make.

Also the price is good, compairs to the rest of the companies.

As with every cell phone carrier, a times comes when you must talk to customer service for whatever reason. I've had service with T-Mobile since 2002 and I cannot tell you how much I actually look forward to speaking with their customer service. Every time I've had an issue, it has been solved, to my satisfaction. They are always friendly, and appear to really enjoy their jobs. Whoever does their training should offer their services and expertise to other companies. If there have been mistakes on billing, they have promptly taken care of the issue or explained to me, in a tone and manner that I...

T.Mobile has proved itself to be top-notch as far as i am concerned. After using some of the other serices, this one's plan 1500 minutes for $39.99 a month is great. After a year or so (not sure which) you go on a month to month basis...far different from other plans.
Further, you have LD service all over the USA.

Verizon, a former carrier I used, told me I would have free LD service from Hawaii. When in Hawaii I used the phone to call all over the USA. They charged me roaming!  I had to go through a lot of phone calls, name remembrances of people who had given me info in Verizon, and finally they...

Years ago, I had Verizon.  And I had no problems with them.  Then I got hit with a double whammy; bankruptcy after the divorce, and medical problems that kept me from driving a truck.  My Verizon bill was paid up-to-date, but, I declared bankruptcy.  I switched over to a "pay as you go" plan with Verizon.  That was OK, but I got charged even if I connected to an answering machine! (Less than one minute but charged for two.) Later, when my disability checks started to come in, I asked Verizon for a credit plan again.  NOPE!  Shot down.

T-Mobile was advertising heavily in the St. Louis area. ...

First, T-Mobile cell phone service keeps me connected in more places than any other service provider I have tried in my area.

I live in a rural area and sometimes getting a connection is difficult. Since I've switch to T-Mobile several years ago, this has not been a problem.  I don't have cut-outs and I can be reached and reach people in more places than I have with previous service providers.

PROS: great all around connection, great customer service, good phone selections, lots of opportunities for upgrade discounts after you have been a customer for a while, reasonable rates, family plans, add-on...

From the beginning we could not get a signal where we live, rural area, which I am a stay at home mom with disabilites & if I need to get ahold of my husband for an emergency the cell phone is my life saver.  I tried to return the phone & not keep the contract and with only having so many days to return it, time ran out because they were trying everything NOT to have me return it, making excuses to try this try that.   They did finally send a return slip but it was already past the so many days of being able to return them. Therefore we got stuck in a 2 year contract which could've been... review »

After a very bogus 7 years with Verizon & getting out of the contract which I never actually added any future years.  But when you get the new phone after 2 years, they have you extended for 2 more.

So we stated NO MORE CONTRACTS!  So we shopped & got all kinds of come & get its but show up & the stories all change.  ATT/Cingular has ads going with Yahoo DSL, U-Verse cable or Dish Network, and home phone service and get a $350 CASHBACK.  But you have to buy everything for plenty.  Their cell turned me off with the $1 a day charge to use the phone with the minutes coming & going.  Blind...

I got the Nokia 1208 Cell Phone with T-Mobile's prepaid plan. You have 2 choices for prepaid plans: Pay By The Day (self explanatory), or Pay-As-You-Go which is the plan where you buy blocks of minutes. Neither require a credit check. You cannot buy just any phone and activate it for prepaid. You need to buy certain phones and for the most part they do not have all the bells and whistles of contract phones.

When you buy your minutes, they expire three months from purchase date, however, once you hit the $100 mark of minutes bought, you qualify for the "Gold Rewards" program where your minutes...

I currently subscribe to T-Mobile for my cell phone service.I shopped around for a long time before I commited.I found some providers advertise a "good' deal.Don;t be fooled !!

sometimes one must figure out what uses will be needed. Then shop each carrier to see if

there is an addtional fee per month for extra service. Most charge extra for text messaging, calling within the network, downloading applications. It is best to make a list and

compare the rates.I finally decided to go with T-Mobile.I did not want a contract, and didn;t want to have to pay for addtional time with a pre-paid card.T-Mobile offers...

T-mobile has been my only cellular company that I have been with and I would not change it.  I actually got my husband switched over from Centennial and we were paying as much for the two of us cheaper than his usual Centennial bill.  So it was already a great deal!

The only problem that I have had with them is that when I moved, my phone longer worked in the area because it had the wrong frequency in the phone.  Then I had no phone service, but still paid for my monthly bills.

But as soon as I got a hold of customer service, they gave me a few options of what the problem was.  So I headed into...

When my son convinced me to sign up for Flex-Fay and My Faves, I thought I was doing the right thing.  I was misled from the get-go at the corporate store neat my home.  I certainly did not get what I was promised.  Instead, I got stuck with a phone that has numerous glitches, a Samsung 1219 and service that works when it wants to.  I get static both from the network during calls and their excuse for customer care when I try to resolve the many service issues I have encountered.  Frequently- at least once a day, I have no signal at all, even when I'm standing perfectly still.  I experience... review »

i went into the cell phone thing knowing nothing about it...i chose t-mobile because of the cost of the phone.  i started out with a pre-paid account..about two months after i bought the phone, hurricane katrina roared ashore in my home state of mississippi...leveling much of it in the process.  our home in ocean springs was completely destroyed. it was about two days after the storm that i turned my phone on (in the shelter that had become our home) and low and behold---i had minutes!!!!  for some three months after the storm i did not have to worry about buying minutes--t-mobile kept me in... review »
