We purchased this Sunbeam coffee maker probably 2 - 3 years ago when our old one quit working. We had never owned a Sunbeam coffee maker in the past, but thought we would give it a try since we found it on sale at the time; and also liked what we read on the box as far as it's features and capabilities. The best feature, in my opinion, is the delayed brewing. I just add the coffee grounds and water, and set the delay button at night before going to bed. Talk about the best part of waking up - coffee already brewed and ready to pour! I especially like this feature on the days I have to be at work at 4 or 5 in the morning. The coffee maker is very quiet when brewing, another nice feature. I also like the sleek looking design - looks nice sitting on the counter and doesn't take up a lot of space. The only thing I'm not completely satisfied with, is the design of the lip on the pot. I have to pour the coffee fairly slow, or it spills out the side. Just took a little getting used to. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to purchase a coffee maker!

I am an avid coffee drinker. I usually drink about a pot a day. I run my coffee maker every day once or twice. I have had the same coffee maker for three years. I have never had to replace the pot and I am not careful with it... like at all! I have hit it (and I mean hard) against the sink, granite counter, you name it. It has never cracked, stained or anything else that has ever made me want to or need to replace it. I scrub it very well every week. If there is any kind of dark ring from the coffee or any kind of discoloration, I just let the pot sit for a few hours with hot, bleachy water. After this, I wash it with soap and water as I would do normally. It's also fine in the dishwasher if you would rather wash it that way. The top comes off easily so it fits just fine in the dishwasher. Also, the coffee basket comes out and also is more than fine in the dishwasher. The water level is easy to read because it is clear and you can see how much water you are pouring into it. I would definitely buy this coffee maker as a gift or recommend it to anyone I know!
