Spinmaster Aquadoodle Review Summary

Aquadoodle is a big hit with Viewpoints reviewers becuase if offers mess-free for for kids. The Aquadoodle is good for building fine motor skills and encouraging creativity. Best of all, it keeps little hands busy for a long time. Parents like that there is no mess to clean up from after this art activity and that the mat is washable. The only drawback is that the water pens are difficult for children to fill on their own. Reviewers agree that this art toy is definitely worth the money though.

My oldest son, who is 6 now, has loved to draw from an early age. One of the best toys I've ever bought his was an Aquadoodle. He's had an one since he was about 3. It provides him a place to create, without the mess.

The Spinmaster Aquadoodle my son has is a large floor mat with a red border. It's about 2' x 2', which is plenty enough room to draw and comes with a water pen. Our Aquadoodle has the alphabet and numbers down two of the sides. On the other two sides are step by step instructions on how to draw things like a dog or a boat, simple things. On the inside of the mat, the surface isn't...

My 3-year-old son enjoys drawing on the surfaces of "everything" though he has a drawing easel and a ton of sketch books. When I bought Aquadoodle for him, he stopped using messy markers and crayons on walls and tabletops. He is really fascinated by the Aquadoodle and has been playing with it more than a couple of hours everyday. The mat is tough but easy to fold. Water pen is easy to refill too. My only complaint is that there is only one Water pen included whose tip is not that durable. If you buy additional pens, you have to pay around 4 to 5 dollars. Other than that, I am pretty much impressed...

The aquadoodle is a great product, it has teached my 4 1/2 year old autistic son the beginning stages of drawing. It's safe. The water pens are really not that great, so we have him put his hand in a bowl of water & just draw with wet fingers. Unfortunatley it does take quite along time to dry, so it's not something you can really use repeatedly through a day. I love the stamps that you can buy as an accessory. Pad also has ABC's & 123's right on it. This is a great space saving solution if you live in a small place. Pad is machine washable if something other than water gets on it. Overall just... review »

I bought this item a few months back and I love it.  The kids do too!!!  My 9,4,3,and 1 year olds all play with it and have fun.  The best part is that my one year old can color the walls all she wants and it won't mess them up!  No mess on the floor either.  This is a really fun toy and it keeps them busy for a longer time than a lot of toys  It can also be thrown in the washer if it gets dirty!.

The Aquadoodle is a very fun, clean toy. Kids love it! The pens are sort of small and refilling them isn't simple enough for younger kids. Also be careful of spills, anything other than water. It seems to leave a permanent coloring, even after washing (we had a milk incident). Over-all, this toy is well worth the money. My daughter loves hers and her friends love it too!

Whoever came up with this mess free toy is a genouis! My daughter would play with this all day long! Her babysitter had it so I had to buy one for home, it is great because there is no way any stains can get on anything becuase it is only water! The only downfall is if the cap is not tight on the pen the water will leak but at least it still doesnt make a mess.

The aquadoodle is a wonderful invention! Keeps kids busy, inspires creativity, and no mess! My daughter (3) recieved one as a gift last Christmas and still plays with it frequently. She has the original, basic mat and we purchased accessories for it. Now there is a rainbow mat and she has been asking for Santa to bring her that one.

Bought this for my son when he was 4.  Loved the idea of mess free, but he never wanted to play with it.  I think it sounds good, and may be more fun if they will play with it, but is a waste if desn't interest the child!  Might be better for kids with more patience and who will sit still...

This is a very nice toy no mess and the kids just love to sit and color and you don't have to worry about a mess I like to take this along when we go to someone else house.  I know that she can sit and color or draw and wont make a mess.

The Spinmaster Aquadoodle is a God send!  My almost four year old daughter loves to draw, but I hate the mess she tends to make.  With this, I can let her go and do what she loves most and not have to worry about a mess to clean up.  The pen is also easy for her to fill up at her sink all on her own.
