I used this device as the primary television of my household for two years and am now using it to type this review! I don't have much experience with using a TV as a computer monitor but from the 4 or 5 I have tried this is definitely the best picture I have gotten. Let's not take the refresh rate or contrast ratio into discussion here because I feel for most people it's a frivolous detail that can be overlooked if the price is right. It has great virtual surround sound and power consumption features. Most people own a theater sound system, so they think this is a non-issue. I own a theater sound system too, but I only turn it on when watching DVDs or play certain games. It is just not as convenient, and power efficient to have just a single TV running. So sound does matter. I can't think of a better television for the price range. Great TV guide and picture in picture. With all the features you need, and excellent picture quality and sound, you can't possibly go wrong with this Sony set.

I have never had a great flat screen tv until I purchased my Sony Bravia. The 1080 HD is very crisp and clear. The controls are easy to use and the menu items are not complicated to understand. I love watching movies on this tv with my home theater sound system. We have it installed over our fireplace mantle and the great picture quality gives you a true movie theater feel. It has a sleek and beautiful look that truly benefits the decorating of my living room. I have been very pleased with this tv!

My family has been laying off purchasing an HDTV for years after they first came into existance. But somehow, someway we laid our eyes on this TV while it was on display at my local tech store. With every nice item I look at in any store I always seem look at the price soon after, which I believe is very common in these economic times today. I took a quick glance at the price and to be honest the price did not pull me away. The great clarity and sound that came from the TV through HD signals were just amazing. 5 minutes after I stood there in awe I decided enough is enough and took this baby home. Setting up this HDTV was not much of a problem, which was a great because this was my first experience setting up a HDTV. All you need to do is set up the time and date, follow the prompt which tells you to allow it to search for channels and that's it. The channel search takes about a good hour but that isn't too much to ask out of anyones schedule. Before I finish my review I would like to share my only con about this TV. The TV Guide program that is included with my TV seems to only work half of the time after months of owning it. This makes my tv-viewing experience a bit less enjoyable and now I watch TV half as much as I used to after I experienced this problem.   Overall, this HDTV is stellar and I would reccomend it to anyone who is looking for an awesome bang-for-your-back HDTV.

We have had our TV for about a year now, and absolutely love it! We switched from one of the old "big" tvs when we bought our new house and love the flat panel! It is mounted on our wall which really helps to open up the room. The picture is absolutely stunning. When we first got our TV, we did not have High Defintion on our cable, but still we really enjoyed the picture. However, recently we upgraded our cable to add the high defintion and the picture really is just stunning. It makes you feel as if you really are right there as you watch it. I also love the ability to plug the computer directly into it. This has allowed us to watch many movies and other videos through our TV. It is great when you want to show a whole crowd something funny you found online. I also enjoy being able to plug our camera into it. The kids really enjoy getting to see themselves on the big screen. Overall, we have been extremely pleased with our purchase.

We've had our tv for 1 year now. The tv is made for hd.! If your going for less you can just count on the cheap brand. But hd is amazing and is awesome!!! I've aways been a sony fan. And there quality shows!!

My fiancee and I bought our Sony Bravia 46" HDTV when our old out of the trash tv started to hiccup. We started looking around at all the different brands, sizes, and whatnots available. We looked at several different types until we found our Sony Bravia. We bought it, brought it home and hooked it up and it was like a whole new tv viewing experience. The colors stand out so tremendously that we almost couldn't believe our eyes. The colors blend so well and the picture is so bright which is why we didn't buy a plasma because our living room has so much light in it. It is hooked up to Directv HD and it is absolutely phenominal! You can see so much detail that it is almost like you are right in the tv with the actors! We looked at getting a Vizio however the Sony Bravia on sale was a better deal. The controls were easy to figure out and the color was easy to calibrate. I would definately recommend this television to anyone looking to upgrade!
