First off, don't let the small bottle fool you. You don't need very much of this laundry soap per load, so it actually lasts as long or longer than other laundry detergent. I've been using this for about a year or two now and have been happy with how it cleans my husband's dirty work clothes. I also am able to use it on baby clothes with no problems. If you have a strain you can dilute a bit of the soap and rub it in the spot, which is generally effective. A few times though, I let it set on some brightly colored shirts and it took the color out, so you have to be careful not to let it set too long. So I would say that the high point of this laundry soap is that it's non toxic. It's not that it performs exceptionally better than other laundry soaps or detergents, but if you've dabbled in natural cleaners you learn that they don't always work as well as the ones you were used to. This one, however, is on par with all the other ones that are NOT non toxic. It also has a great scent, not too overwhelming, and makes your clothes smell nice.

Shaklee's Laundry soap was a surprise happy purchase for me. For a long time I have made my own laundry soap both to save money and to eliminate questionable ingredients. I ended up purchasing a whole cleaning and laundry kit from Shaklee because it was a good deal and it included a few other things I wanted to try. When I tried the laundry soap I was pleasantly surprised at it's cleaning power. It works well on my husband's dirty work clothes and seems to clean really well. I also use it to scrub out stains and it does a pretty good job. I would only caution, however, that it does seem to take color out if you let the concentrate set on your clothes. It's also gentle enough that I can use it on my baby clothes. Shaklee makes their products from organic ingredients, which is important to me and I like the lighter scent of this laundry soap. I have gotten used to very lightly scented laundry soap and most of the regular ones completely overwhelm my nose! It doesn't come in a very big bottle, but this is very concentrated so you don't need to use very much at a time. As far as performance, it's not that it performs so much better than other leading brands, but is just as good as and for an organic cleaner this is a good thing.

It's safe for people and the environment, economical and best of all, it works! I've used this for about 40 years and even when I had a housecleaning company we used it to wash our rags because it was the most economical product we could find and it does everything it says it will do. Performance So effective that you can use it for spots and it works! Scent I prefer the unscented, after all, clean has no scent. But available with the normal scent of other detergents.

I, like the others who have already reviewed, purchased this product after I saw it advertised on Oprah's show. I liked the idea of a green cleaning line, but I loved the idea of saving money while protecting the earth. Unfortunately, i was only able to do one of those two things. There are a lot of positives about this product. It does smell wonderful, it is good for the environment. But on the flip isde is the fact that I just didn't think it got my laundry clean enough. First was the idea that this was concentrated. Maybe it was, but then again, maybe it's one of those soaps that don't lather. If that's the case, then Shaklee needs to tell us because I found I had to use a tons of this soap just to get the barest hint of bubbles in my machine...even in a front loader, which typically use less soap than the top loaders...it wouldn't lather unless I put in three times as much as the recommended amount. Second, and the most decisive point in not reordering, was that it just didn't get my laundry clean. Yes, it has an amazing scent that's not over-the-top of chemically. But what good is that when my shirts still have stains on them? I thought *maybe* it was just that the stain was too hard to work loose, but just to be sure, I put it in the hamper again and washed the next batch with Tide. The result? No stains. There are other products from Shaklee that I love, but this is not one of them.

My family has been using Shaklee's laundry cleaner for years and it has yet to let us down.   The detergent is so effective as a concentrate, you hardly need to add that much of it to a load. Therefore, one bottle of detergent can last many weeks. Ours average about one month or so, sometimes much longer.   Every load comes out smelling fresh and without any residue that can be left by other products. Shaklee's detergent also helps preserve the color of your clothes, which is always an added bonus. On the downside, the detergent doesn't do very well with removing stains and I've lost a few shirts/etc because of this.
