First of all, I might be the unfortunated fews who has gotten a defective unit. One year during the time I have this TV, I have had it broke down 3 times, fortunately all covered under the warranty. But it's still a pain to call customer service and request a technician to come in and fix it. All three times were the same issue, they just replace the board in the TV and call it good. They will not let me have another unit. In term of feature, this TV seem to have it all. It's my first HDTV so can't really compare. It has enough HDMI ports for all my entertainment units. The color is crispy clear and a lot of features that you can tweak it. It takes about 3-5 seconds to turn on the TV though, which is annoying. There's also a slight delay when using the control, not sure if I didn't point it right at the TV or what, but it's slow. I have to say I'm not impressed by Samsung, I thought they were a reputable company, but no..

my wife has been demanding me to buy a new set since it hit the market. We bought the TV set in july and it has been working for eight months with no problem. we have tested every function with remote control and found no problem at all. the color is distinct and the picture is discernable. the good thing is you can connect your pc and psp or dvd to the tv and experience the large screen. when i watch youtube video with it, it looked perfect, but you have to keep some distance. but a few weeks later it started to have some problems. one of the touch buttons didn't seem to work very well. it contacted the customer support for the problem and for three weeks they didn't answer any questions until i personally go to the repair center for the issue. they have checked it a few times and said there is no way it can be fixed to the original mode.i was angry and the problem hadn't been resolved to this date. if you want tv with good support, don't choose samsung for this reason.

My husband kept bugging me to get a flat panel tv ever since the first day they hit the market.  I was hesitant because we already have multiple TV's in the house that worked just fine, so in my mind I thought it was a waste of money to get one. Well a few months back while I was watching the news our main tv started to go on the fritz.  So off we went to the electronics stores.  We looked at a lot of TVs but the Samsung LN46B550 seemed to have what we wanted.  It was big, but not so big that it would not over power the room, it had the plug and play feature so we could easliy connect out other electronic to it and my favorite feature is the swivel base.  We have an oblong family room so some of the seating does not have the best view of the screen.  You can simply turn the screen and EVERYONE gets a great veiw.  Then when youa re done you turn it back and it doesnt make the room look all cock-eyed. This is a great TV at a reasonable price.  We love ours and are now considering buying more samsungs to replace the rest of the sets in the house.
