I usually have a shake for breakfast every morning but when I was trying to get more protein into my diet a few years ago I decided to replace my usual brand with a shake made from the SEI Max Protein powder. I ended up purchasing a 2 pound or so tub of this at a vitamin store. That was the smallest size they carried. I chose the chocolate version since you just can't go wrong with chocolate. I tried mixing this with coconut milk and ice in my blender and it blended up beautifully but when it came to drink it I noticed a distinct aftertaste that was quite unpleasant. I actually had to run into the closest coffee shop and buy a coffee to get rid of the aftertaste. I guess if you're drinking it while eating something like a muffin with it it isn't so bad, but alone it is not ideal. While this does provide quite a bit of protein I just could not get it into it. I have since tried other brands and have been more pleased with them. I think it is all down to preference and this was not a good fit for me.

I use this protein powder almost every single day. Why waste money on pre made shakes such as the Slim Fast shakes when all they offer is a bunch of calories and a little protein to try to get you through a meal when you can make your own at home for so much cheaper? This protein powder costs quite a bit, but do not let the price make you shy away. It goes a long way! I make green smoothies every day and when I am using them as meal replacements, I always like to add protein powder to them. This protein powder contains a lot of protein in each scoop and all it takes is one scoop in my smoothie. And you are getting a very large quantity, so it will last you a long time. Compared to the price of pre made shakes, this is way cheaper. It does have the protein aftertaste which I have found is common in all protein powders and bars. In my opinion, the chocolate flavor is better than any of the others. I do not get anywhere near the aftertaste with it as I do with the vanilla or berry flavors.

I ended up canceling my order. It sat on a salesperson's desk for days. It was processed after I called to check because I didn't get a confirmation. When it was finally processed, they charged the wrong card. I would not trust this company to produce a quality product. Calls are left on hold for long periods while playing very loud, scratching and irritation "music".
