Roper top load washer is good enough and does the job
We moved into our house about a year ago, and the Roper top loading clothes washer came with the house. I would guess that the former owner had bought it within the last few years. It was in good shape and everything was in working order. You can choose small, medium or friggin' 'uge loads (aka Super), and it has a variety of wash types including permanent press and normal. For each wash type you can choose short wash, normal or heavy load. There is no "gentle" cycle, so I took a guess and have been using the quick wash cycle on normal for my sweaters and such. Next time I would choose a washer with a gentle cycle. It seems to dump the water, rinse, spin and clean everything well. There are some situations where I have found clothes wetter than I would have liked, but perhaps the load was too heavy for the washer. I've never used the softener and cannot comment on that. Overall this is a decent washer so far.
