I recently purchased this seat after doing research on different car seats for a few months. I was actually one of the lucky ones to find it listed on woot.com for $179.00 below average selling price. It is very highly rated, similar in safety ratings to the Britax line and just as comfy too.

The recaro como converitible car seat is great once it is installed in the car.  It is very hard to get the back off of the car seat to adjust the straps.  I may have thrown a couple things and said some bad words while attemting to get the back off!  But once it is off the straps are very easy to adjust to your child.  I have just left the back off and can now get to the straps with no problem.  Intalling in the car was a slight bit of a hassle but once the straps are adjusted it appears to be easy to put in and out now.  I found it no harder to put this car seat in compared to others. ...

We did tons of research when it came time to buy a second convertible car seat for our daughter.  Of course, Britax was initally the number one choice and most reviewers were buying Britax.  But then, I came across the safety reviews on the Recaro Como Convertible Car Seat and decided that could be a possibility.  Then merely by chance, we came across a brand new Recaro seat at a nearby Tuesday Morning, manufactured the year before.  And Recaro's life span is 8 years instead of 6 (I believe).  The price was just $99, compared to all the online prices which ranged in the 200s.  So we got it...

I was able to purchase this seat at a great price.  It so comfortable for my daughter and extremely safe.  However, it's very large.  It can create quite a blind spot.  Plus it's way too big for air travel (on the plane and bulky to haul).
