Our big screen, flat screen, HDTV, LCD, RCA, 40 inch, Energy Star tv is not as complicated as it sounds.  We did need to go back to the store to get an HDMI cable though ( so many letters to remember).  Once we got past the education one needs to buy a big screen we were elated with our purchase.  The setup was painfree.  The tv fit where our old tv went.  The stand that came with the new tv is sturdy and we have no worries about it.  I think we were watching televivion within ten minutes of plugging in the tv.  The tv settings and menu are very easy to use.  The picture is great.  The audio is amazing, it has some kind of surround sound as part of the tv set.  It is not as good as a whole surround sound system, but it sounds great on its own.  You can easily change the size of your picture, with many options.  There are so many hookups in the back that I can not count them all.  I have my computer, cable, and many other thingies hooked up to it, and still have many more openings.
