Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula of hand lotion has been on the market for quite a while. I knew it worked well for scars but have never tried it for my hands until now. This hand lotion helps heal and soften your hands even if you have that rough, dry skin like I get every winter season. The dry air does a lot of damage to ones hands and my hands are very rough on the outter sides of the hands. I purchased this small size bottle ( 1.7 fluid ounces) at my local drugstore when I saw it sitting on the counter by the cash register when I was checking out. This hand lotion contains Vitamin E which will aid in the healing of those chapped hands like mine.

I just tried this and when the lotion comes out it looks a light yellowish orange color and has a nice smell to it which reminds me of a light mandarin orange scent mixed with chocolate.

**Contains:** Water, Yellow 5 and Orange 4, Fragrance, Coconut oil, Palm oil, Benzyl alcohol, Petroleum, Cocoa extract, Glyceryl stearate, Propylene glycol, Glycerin, PEG -8 Sterate for some of the ingredients. The writting is small on this bottle as the bottle is also small so it is hard to read. I did put down what I could for contents so it can help you to some extent.

**Made in USA** by ET Browne Drug Co. Inc. of Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

This cocoa butter works fairly well to moisturize skin. It does leave a bit of a greasy residue, and it has to be used more frequently than some. It also has other ingredients besides cocoa butter, so is a less natural version. It also has a slight fragrance which is pleasant enough but can be irritating to someone who is allergic to all fragrances - I would prefer 'unscented' to really be unscented.

Scent
The scent is pleasant enough, and not overpowering, but it would be better if it were truly unscented. I tend to avoid this cocoa butter because of it - my asthma and fragrance allergies can sometimes (depending on how many other things have bothered them recently) be bothered by the scent. If you need a truly unscented product, look elsewhere. If you don't mind a scent however, it is a very warm and pleasing one.

Absorption
It takes a long time and a lot of rubbing to absorb into the skin, and leaves a greasy/sticky residue that can be annoying if you don't like your clothing to stick to you.

Effectiveness
It does a fairly good job of moisturizing skin, but has to be reapplied much more often than other butters/lotions.

It really hydrates the skin, but it clogged my pores

By

Comments about Palmers Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion:

I have been using Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion for quite some time. I would routinely find this lotion at a reasonable price at my local store. I really loved the way this lotion made my skin feel. One of the best things that I like about this lotion is the scent. I have smelled many different types of cocoa butter, but Palmer smells the best. I would apply this lotion once or twice a day depending on my skin. My skin always stayed hydrated especially during the winter. This was the only lotion in its price range that didn't leave my skin feeling dry after applying. Sadly I had to stop using this lotion because my pores started to clog. I don't know if they changed their formula, but I would get tender clogged pores on my leg that would turn red. Once I stopped using this lotion my pores stopped clogging. I definitely wouldn't recommend this lotion if you have very sensitive skin because it might cause clogged pores.

Awesome product!

Comments about Palmers Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion:

I love this product! [Actually I love all the Palmer's Cocoa Butter products I've tried.] I originally bought this lotion because I heard a lot of reviews about it online to help fade stretch marks. It works great for fading stretch marks but it's just an awesome lotion overall! It comes in a pretty simple bottle and isn't very expensive. You can easily find it at places like Wal-Mart or Target. As stated above I got it because I heard it was great for stretch marks and I wanted something that would help with mine [HATE THEM!]. With continued use it did begin to fade my stretch marks. I began using it as an everyday lotion soon after I bought it though. It's very creamy and absorbs into your skin quickly. It does a great job at moisturizing [I have very dry skin]. My only problem with it is the smell, I really don't like it, but it's effectiveness makes the smell worth it. Overall, I highly recommend this product!

this stuff works really well

Comments about Palmers Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion:

I really enjoy using Palmer's cocoa butter formula lotion. It's so very soft on your skin and leaves you feeling smooth and moisturized. It really ads lasting moisture and keeps your skin feeling smooth and healthy. It's one of the best lotions out there, I have used it with all of my pregnancies to help with preventing and reducing some stretch marks that you get from pregnancy, and it really does work!

Scent
It depends on your personal preference if you like the scent or not, to me it's a very yummy, natural smell and I really enjoy it, it's not too strong but not too soft either. A very clean scent.

Absorption
The absorption of this cocoa butter lotion is wonderful, it absorbs very easily into your skin with almost no trouble. Some lotions take forever for them to actually absorb into your skin but this lotion as long as you don't use too much absorbs right away!

Effectiveness
Palmer's cocoa butter formula lotion really does work, it does a great job and does exactly what it's supposed to do and more!

works for stretch marks

By

from Undisclosed

Comments about Palmers Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion:

I had my son 3 years ago and I still have ugly stretch marks on my stomach and hips. I've tried almost everything to get rid of them and nothing seems to work. One day I was at the store and I seen this Palmer's cocoa butter formua lotion and bought it. The smell of the cocoa butter smells really good and sweet. It has a thick and rich texture that goes on smoothly. I've used this lotion for about two months now and I already have seen a difference in my skin. My skin doesn't feel so dry anymore and it has reduced the appearance of my stretch marks. My skin feels a lot smoother and it looks healthier. I like how it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy and this lotion absorbs quickly in my skin. I will always buy this lotion even if my stretch marks go away because its great for everyday moisture. Its inexpensive to buy so its affordable. They sell this at most convenient stores and they come in different sizes.

I love that they put the orignal formula into a lotion.

Comments about Palmers Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion:

I was and always have been a fan of palmers original cocoa butter in the sticks and tubs and since they've put it into a lotion, it's even more convenient for me. The lotion absorbs so much more nicely than the sticks or the tubs of cocoa butter do.

I have sensitive skin that sometimes gets rashes and itches a lot so this product is great because it doesn't really contain harsh dyes or perfumes. It's lightly scented and smells great. It doesn't quite smell as cocoa buttery as the original stick does though.

I love using this on my tattoos. I don't apply it when I get a new one because it smothers them, but as an everyday lotion, I've been using this for months on and off on my tattoos and they still look great. I haven't noticed any fading or ink loss and I believe it's because I keep them moisturized with palmers.

I tried this on my stretch marks on my thighs but I didn't see any improvement on the marks. My skin is softer and smoother and I have the slightest smell of cocoa butter which my guy and I both love, but no help with my scars or stretch marks.

It absorbs nicely. It goes on smooth and yet its creamy. I can feel it going to work immediately after applying it. It's gentle enough for me to use on my nose and even my lips in the winter.

Scent
I love the smell of cocoa butter. This doesn't smell as much as the original but it still smells like the cocoa butter I know and love.

Absorption
It absorbs quickly and evenly and doesn't sit on top of my skin like some products.

Effectiveness
It's a wonderful moisturizer but it doesn't seem to soften scars or stretch marks very much. It's amazing on heels.

Love it

Comments about Palmers Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion:

I love that this lotion contains no aluminum which is important to my family. We love the smell and the creaminess of this lotion as well. This lotion is very dense and thick so a little goes a long way. You really have to rub it in because it tends to stay a little greasy on your skin for a little while after you apply it. We live in a humid region so that might play into the greasiness. Overall, it gets the job done. It relieves our dry skin. It also does not irritate our sensitive skin or make it itchy. We purchase the pump and my husband and I use it practically everyday. The bottle lasts us a couple of months at least. We used to put our lotion on right after our shower, but because it takes some work to rub it in, we wait until we are completely dried off to apply it. It seems to help the absorption better. I recommend this lotion for those with sensitive skin or worried about the ingredients in their lotion.

perfect for pregnancy

By

from USA

Comments about Palmers Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion:

This lotion has many benefits to it . I usually don't buy coconut flavored anything but I made this one my only exception due to the positive outcomes. First your skin comes out very soft and stays soft the whole time . It rejuvenates your skin and keeps it that way as long as you keep using the lotion . The best part is that this type of lotion takes away your stretch marks. It also can be used to prevent any stretch marks that can happen during pregnancy .

Scent
The worse part of this product is the smell . It is so strong and stays with you all day long . It is very overwhelming , people can smell you as you walk by . I would just recommend to apply small amounts unless you actually like the smell of coconut oil .

Absorption
It does absorb but it also leaves some left over residue . It is like a coat of Vaseline .

Effectiveness
It is very effective . I have seen a significant difference on my skin and the stretch marks have gone away too .

Love this lotion!!!!

Comments about Palmers Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion:

It's hard for me find a lotion that won't make me itch. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion is one of the few lotions that I'm able to use without making my skin itchy afterwards. I love the smell of it and it keeps my skin smooth and soft. Some lotions don't last that long, and I mean keeping your skin moisturized, Palmer's does. I don't have to keep reapplying. I love using this lotion especially during winter season, you know what I'm talking about....yup,your skin get so dry and itchy even how much you moisturized it.This product works great for me and my family.

Scent
We love the scent of this product. To me it's very mild and sweet makes me think of chocolate.

Absorption
Absorbs pretty good,as long as you rub it pretty good too. It keeps my skin moisturized the whole day and I don't have to keep reapplying it.

Effectiveness
It's very effective for dry skin and for sensitive skin. I can't really say that it'll work for everybody though since every individual has their own preferences and needs. But it works great for me,and I have sensitive skin.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter

By

Comments about Palmers Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion:

I have Been using Palmer's cocoa butter on my skin for years. It clears up scars, evens out hyperpigmentation and smoothes out skin. Using cocoa butter on a daily basis had allowed me to be the athlete I have always wanted to be. Highly competitive, I am willing to do whatever it takes to win a game and I usually accumulate some unwanted scars in the process. By religiously applying Palmer's cocoa butter, my scars have gradually faded over time and my hyperpigmented skin has become even also from sun damage and years of not applying sunblock. As an athlete who is in the sun for hours a day, I do find that applying cocoa butter on my skin at night or after a shower to be very helpful. I would highly recommend Palmer's cocoa butter and it is great for black skin. It not only fades discoloration but also smoothes black skin while brightening it. It absorbs into the akin readily and has a great scent. Do not use in direct sunlight for you will tan severely and risk damaging your skin.
