I bought this blender many years ago and I'm so glad I did. Blenders are hit or miss sometimes and I've been through my share. I can't say I use it everyday but when I get it out I do try to do as much work in it as I can before I put it away. One downside is the noise. It is very loud to the point that my kids hide when I turn it on. They don't complain since usually a milkshake is being made, but it's very loud. I try to soften the sound by setting the unit on an old mouse pad or pot holder. I've been happy with the way its' held up in the dishwasher, it's small footprint, and it's sleek behive casing. I have the stainless steel model and it's very retro looking! The unit is very heavy for it's size and the glass is extremely thick. The pieces separate easily and go into the dishwasher easily. The blade is very sharp so use extreme caution when handling it.  Overall, it crushes ice well, blends milkshake and mixed drinks nicely and I 'm very happy with it.

When we first got this blender, we were really excited because we wanted to make lots of smoothies and use it to blend soups and such. Fast forward to months later. The blender worked well for the small tasks we tasked it with, but it had trouble making an even blend and ice always gave it problems. We found that we didn't use it much and would prefer to use the food processor for many tasks. Then fast forward again to about a year after we got it, when we'd only used it maybe a dozen times. We put frozen fruit in attempting to make a smoothie, but very quickly realized after trying to blend for a few seconds that something was very wrong. It turns out that the rubber cap at the bottom of the glass jar had completely split to the point where there was a gash to almost half-way across the diameter. Fruit juices were leaking everywhere. It was a complete disaster and we couldn't find any way, after doing some research, of replacing that very specific part and had to throw the blender away. So in all, it worked decently enough at first for what we needed but it didn't last long at all.
