Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Reviews

I use Nizoral 1% shampoo for my thinning hair.  I suffer from PCOS related hair loss.  Although the bottle does not specifically state it removes DHT, studies show that it does.  I first learned of this shampoo through numerous PCOS forums I attend as well as my dermatologist.  I believe the ingredient Ketoconazole 1% is what is responsible for washing away DHT, much like a more expensive salon brand, Nioxin.

If you have PCOS related hair loss, you probably know that DHT is the culprit that causes both men and women to have hormone related alopecia.

My husband didn't realize it, but he was constantly scratching his head! It is a non-prescription strength shampoo that you use about once or twice a week in the beginning and then use as needed. The Nizoral shampoo did not change the texture or shine of his hair and the itching stopped almost immediately. We were both impressed with this product and would highly recommended Nizoral to anyone who is having difficulty with a dry scalp.
