Yes, another mascara, but this one had something new. I saw the ads on TV and magazines and just didn't get it..vibrating mascara? So found a sale and thought I would give **Maybeline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara** a try.

As I do with new make-up...Rip it out of the package like a little kid on Christmas just to see what it was like.  Yippee it was out of the package and I located the little button and nothing. Oh great I bought a dud, but wait (it must have a battery and something needs to be pulled) it didn't have a little pull tab for the battery. It was a band wrapped around where the pulse button was.  So if you purchase it...take the wrapped band off first and WALAAA the pulse will work.  (I live for my little "duh" moments, always helps others in the long run).

This is a mascara to play around with and the trick is start at the base of your lashes, do a quick pass on the back side and back to the front at the base (on the front take your time, rushing is not the key).  If you start at mid section you will find clumps and keep the pulse going and to my surprise it does help.

What I have found with this new fangled mascara is that I have nice long lashes, just the right amount of curl, a natural look and many complements and who doesn't like to here "Wow are your lashes long are they really yours?"  Yeah baby, dems be all mine.

I really didn't think the pulse would do anything, but it does and this is a mascara that I will purchase again.  I am very pleased. It also comes in a waterproof formula, but it only comes in black and very black color.

Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara comes in a long tube; the brush is straight not curved, with plastic bristles. The battery and vibrating "on button" are in the tip of the handle.

I'll be honest, the idea of this made me uncomfortable before I even tried it, so I know I'm not as comfortable with it as others may be. The idea of putting anything that is vibrating that close to my eye just doesn't seem right. First I tried it without turning on the vibrator (that sounds dirty, sorry). When I slid the brush out of the tube, it had way too much product on it, so I tried to get some of the extra off. When I used the wand on my eyelashes it left big clumps and the mascara went on very unevenly. So I thought the problem must be that I'm not using the vibrating part. So I gave it a shot. You have to hold down the button to keep it vibrating which is kind of a pain. I just couldn't get the hang of it; I never could get it close enough to my eye to get all my lashes, and it left the ones I did do all clumpy looking. It's just not for me.

Comments about Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara:

Seems cool when you come across it but the pulse is a waste of time and does nothing as it claims , instead of pressing down the pulse you can easily just brush the mascara on and be done

Just a thick, clumpy, noisy novelty.

By

from USA

Comments about Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara:

Maybe I'm spoiled with my other mascaras, but I was not at all impressed. I got a "good deal" on this vibrating stuff online, which is why I branched out and tried it. It seemed like a good idea, after all. The vibrations should separate your lashes, right? Wrong. They must have spent all their time installing batteries and forgotten to make a decent formula, or spooly (brush). I'm a trained cosmetologist, and when I was through, it looked like I had about four, fat, gunky spikes instead of lush lashes. Oh, and despite how much your friends will tease you for it, it's not even good as an "adult" novelty. About all it's good for is a good laugh and a toss in the trash bin.

No wonder it's been discontinued.

Performance
Yes, it vibrates, but that means nothing. You'd be better off applying liquid liner to your lashes with a bobby pin (and I don't suggest that).

Ease of Application
The vibration doesn't shake your hand or anything, but it doesn't do... anything. It just goes on like cheap mascara with a poorly-made spooly.

Love it

By

Comments about Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara:

I adore this product. For me, the bristle is perfect. They're not these huge bristles that promise long, lucious lashes by looking at it but it does just that. They make my lashes big and bright and thick. A general rule with mascara is to shake it a bit while you put it on but with a touch of a button it does it all on its own. It applies the product evenly on my lashes and from long time use; they have never clumped. Also, it's long lasting. One con I would say is that it is harder than most mascara's to remove. Other than that I love this product and actually own 3 at the moment! I would recommend this to everyone.

Maybelline Pulse Perfection is okay

By

Comments about Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara:

When I first used this product, I was a little scared that the vibrating wand would actually create clumping and smudge my mascara. I think that the formula is decent, the brush doesn't get a lot of the product on it when you are taking it out of the tube, which is a plus. The wand is a good size and doesn't clump my lashes when I apply it. I didn't really find any lengthening or thickening action happening when I used this, for holding my curls, it was okay. I think that the vibrating action doesn't really do much towards the application, if anything it would be taking the curl out of my lashes. Removing it wasn't that hard, I simply used a baby wipe and it came out nicely. The mascara worked like any other mascara to me, honestly I never really liked using Maybelline brand mascaras mostly because their formulas always way down my lashes, people noticed my lashes and said they were long (I am asian and have surprisingly decent/long lashes). I would recommend this, but for the most part, I would not repurchase this.

Love this mascara

Comments about Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara:

I love this mascara when I first saw it and heard about it I thought it would be a good one to try. When I first started using it I thought it was kind of weird but once I got use to putting it on while having the vibrations I thought it made your lashes look really nice. I also tried using another kind at one point while I was using this mascara and it just didn't feel or look the same anymore. It is super easy and super fast to use and I felt like my lashes looked great everytime. I like things that work great and are fast to use and aren't complicated. People might not feel like trying out this type because of the vibrations but I thought it worked great and looked nice. If you do decide to give it a try it does take a little getting use to, so don't give up on it right away. I also thought it was awesome that the vibrations lasted as long as the mascara so I never had to use it without the vibrations.

Maybelline Pulse Perfection Mascara just isn't for me

Define those tiny tiny tiny lashes!

By

from Silver Spring, MD

Comments about Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara:

First off, I won't re-purchase this because I like to try new stuff. However, I think this mascara has a bad rep, but it really is a good product for those who have a lot of TINY eyelashes and never seem to be able to apply mascara on those to thicken them. The formula also has good staying power as far as helping you keep your lashes curled if you use it right after you curl them.

But the selling fact of this mascara is that it has a vibrating wand. The pulse is mainly concentrated at the tip of the wand. This help when you really want to put an extra layer on the ends to get them more full. To get the hang of how to get most out of this mascara, test it out on the tiny hair on the back of your hand or arm. This hold it lightly over some hair to see it work. As many mentioned before, this takes a little time to dry. For me, this is okay, cause it gives me time to kinda get rid of excess that has ended up on my upper eyelids, or below my eyes.

the maybelline pulse perfection mascara makes lashes look great!

By

from Lavonia, GA

Comments about Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara:

well when i first bought it i wasn't sure if it would work. it looked like it could be a major gimmicky but when i tried it i fell in love with it. my lashes are long and dark but when i tired it it made then longer and darker. i wear glasses and when i put that mascara on i put on my glasses and my eye lashes were hitting my glasses when i blinked. they were extremely long and i have refereed many of my friends to it. one of my friends (who has curly eyelashes) tried it, it made her lashes straighten and made them long and beautiful. she uses it everyday now. everyone i know who tried it loved it the moment they tried it. you can buy the water proof( cry proof and swimming pool proof as well). the mascara came off easily when i used a cotton ball soaked in eye make-up remover. the brush is the best. because it vibrates it seperates the lashes easily and makesyour lashes look thicker and more beautiful.

The Vibrating Mascara Makes Lashes a Lot Fuller

By

from Beverly Hills, CA

Comments about Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara:

I thought the vibrating attribute of this mascara was pretty cool. It is very easy to apply. Your lashes are darker, longer, and fuller. The mascara stays on for a long time and it is actually really difficult to get off, even with make up remover. I got the water-proof kind, so that may be the reason. One thing I didn't like about it though is that it makes eye lashes very clumpy and its hard to avoid clumping or get them out. Overall, it is a decent product if you like to try new things.
