Those who like its glossy content and articles say "This magazine has a lot to offer the beauty/fashion diva's in all of us" However, there are those who view the magazine as a huge showcase for advertising, saying, "There is very little substance in Lucky Magazine and I would not subscribe to it again. This is one of those publications that is fun to leaf through while wasting time at the doctor's office but not one you would sit down with and try to read. Because there is very little TO read." Most reviewers enjoyed Lucky, but a few felt it was a little shallow, with more advertising than substance.

Lucky is very hit or miss when it comes to fashion advice that most women can use. I find lucky most helpful for looking at individual items so I can pick what trends I like this season. I'm a hard core shopper. If you think of shopping as more of a hobby than a chore lucky is a useful reference. I really like the luckymagrewards.com feature. This rebate program gives you a percentage back in the form of visa gift card. If you do allot of on-line you can earn enough rebates to more than pay for the subscibtion.
And most of the clothes are affordable too so I don't have to feel bad after reading it that I can't purchase anything I saw. I also like that the clothes are trendy but wearable. So often I see cute items in magazines but wonder, where will I wear that in day to day life? They are also season appropriate... review »
If you want a magazine with a bunch of articles this is definitely not the magazine for you. This magazine is geared more for the fashion loving individual. I first stumble on this magazine at a friends house and I haven't been able to put it down. I love to see what the latest fashion trend happens to be at the moment and this magazine provides me with everything. It has a lot of ads but I mean its not bad because it's not intended to be a literary magazine. Its about fashion and trends and that is what it provides you with.
I like this magazine for a quick read about what the latest trends are and where to find them. The layout is great and easy to read. I like how they mix high end/expensive items with affordable ones. It's nice to look through a magazine and see things that you can actually afford to buy. There is very few articles and little substance to the mag. It is mostly pictures. You can read this magazine from beginning to end in about 10 minutes.
My favorite part about the magazine is you can go online and chat with the other "Lucky" girls on the message boards--get some tips and advice there and shop through the Lucky Magazine website to get good deals on clothing, etc.
I love Lucky! It's like window shopping without leaving the house. It gives me great ideas for new ways to wear what's already in my closet, gives me inspiration for new looks, and has enlivened my formerly dull uniform-like work-wear. I've gotten so many great gift ideas from the pages of Lucky. If I can't shop, I look to Lucky for ways to make what is old new again!
