The Linksys wireless router is a great router. It was a little complicated to set up, but after the inital setup, has not given us any problems. We had bought it for our grandma. After we had driven to her house to set it up, the software that it came with was not working. I would recommend if you are purchasing it as a gift for someone who is not computer savvy to download the software to your computer so you are familiar with the process before trying to do it on someone else's computer. It gives out a strong wireless signal that even reaches outside our house. Occasionally, when our internet is running slow, we will turn it off for a few minutes and restart it. I think this has to do with our internet provider and not with the Linksys router. The wireless signal from the Linksys is strong enough to give internet connection to all our wireless devices regardless of where we are in the house.
