If somebody is going for L'oreal then definitely they are looking out for better products (where money wouldn't be a matter of concern), however, looking at the availability of the product ranges in the market, I feel its pretty expensive in the category. Though one has to consider that it is ammonia free and also condition your hair. There are some best things which I observed in this product. Firstly we need to keep it only for half an hour and the results are outstanding. It covered all my grey hairs within half an hour. I used natural black color as my hairs are black in color and to my surprise, it not only covered my grey hairs fully but also made my hairs very smooth. It can be used as highlighter as well. After hair dyes hair gets very dry & ummanageable but thanks for Loreal's colors, they are amongst best in the class. One can get the output of beauty parlor by using this color dye. I recommend it... Effectiveness Very effective in covering grey hairs, highlighting. I love the fact that we need to keep it for lesser time than others. Ease of Application Doesn't need any expertise to apply this since this is a ready to use cream

I have long, dark curly hair and I don't color it very often, but I was in the mood for a bit of a change. My usual drugstore was out of both of my usual colors of Clairol Natural Instincts Hair Color, so I decided to try L'Oreal Healthy Look Creme Gloss Color in Vibrant Mahogany. It definitely showed me that, for my hair, all non-permanent color is not created equal. Effectiveness I had been hoping for deep burgundy highlights, but the ones I got from using L'Oreal Healthy Look Creme Gloss Color were a bit more orange. It turns out that my hair is quite sensitive to peroxide, so I'm better off looking for a semi-permanent color (with no ammonia or peroxide), rather than a demi-permanent one (with no ammonia and low peroxide). Ease of Application L'Oreal Healthy Look Creme Gloss Color is pretty easy, but it does require a three-step, in-shower process. First, you mix the color cream and the developer, then you apply them. The cream is fairly thick, so it's easy to distribute evenly. After waiting 10 minutes, you rinse out the cream and then use the deep conditioner. (For me, the deep conditioner was the best part, it left my hair soft and manageable.)

I like experimenting with my hair color, but sometimes I just happen in to a bad shade, or brand of hair color. From my four experiences with L'Oreal Healthy Look Creme Gloss Color, I was disappointed to discover that that was the case with this hair color. I originally picked this brand of hair color because it was reasonably priced and there was the well-known brand reputation behind it. I have always had great experiences with other L'Oreal products, from their hair care, to their make up, I have never had any issues. The application of this product was really easy, and the coloring smell was bearable, but this hair color may be lasted ten washes before it was mostly gone. The color was rich and glossy, while it was there, but it disappeared relatively quickly. There was also barely enough hair coloring in the box to coat my hair. This hair coloring didn't leave my hair feeling dry after though, it even felt a bit smooth. Overall, I would not recommend this hair coloring if you want it to last for 20-28 washes.

I really like this hair color product. I'm still new at home hair coloring, but I really liked this one more then any other product. Mixing was about the same as all the other brands and easy to do. There really wasn't any odor that I could tell, which was really nice, and it made coloring that much better. But the best thing was the conditioner then send to put in after coloring. It is a descent sized tube to use once a week after your first initial use after coloring. There is about 4 additional uses of conditioner, for me there was as I have long hair. I love the way the conditioner feels in my hair and it makes it feel as if I just finished with the coloring even a few weeks later. It smells really good. Effectiveness It covered my hair the best of the few different brands that I have tried. and it seemed to stay longer better then others I have used. Ease of Application It was very easy to apply to the hair, well as easy as it is to color anyways.

In a rebellious stage of college, I wanted to change the color of my hair for a bit and I choose this product. There weren't many semi-permanent products available and this wasn't too expensive so I went with it. With a little help from my roommate, it turned out flawless. It was my first time ever dying my hair and I was happy with the result. A few months later I tried again on my own and had less success getting to all of my hair. If you don't want to miss any spots, I say have some help coloring your hair. Also, for me, this lasted way past the number of washes. My hair was auburn for about two or three months, long enough I sort of forgot what my original hair color was. I wasn't every quite sure it was totally out until quite some time later. That could be a pro or con however you look at it. I didn't mind it at all. Effectiveness I went from a light brown to a dark auburn and the color was pretty much what I was expecting thanks to the legend on the side of the box Ease of Application I had someone else do it for me once and it took a while but they got it all done, then I tried to do it again by myself and had less success. I say, if you're going to do it, have some help from a friend.

I've used this a few times and I'm not quite sure why it got so many negative reviews, I found it to be very effective. The whole process to put it on and leave it in my hair doesn't take but 10-15 minutes, it's not that hard to wash out completely, and it leaves my hair soft and fluffy. I also like the built in conditioner, it smells great to me! The color is easy to absorb, even though my hair is dry and has many split ends. Overall this is a useful and effective product and I highly recommend it.

L'Oreal Healthy Look Creme Gloss Color is my go to boxed hair dye brand. I use the blue black color, and it makes my hair extremely soft, luxurious, healthy looking, and has a great bold color! It lasts for about 3 weeks and then slowly starts to fade. It looks natural when it's fading too! It's easy to apply as well and is great for beginner self hair dyers. I would recommend this product to everyone!

I have naturally brown hair with a LOT of gray! I have been coloring my hair since I was 21 (perks of being a geeky engineer ;)) I keep trying out new hair colors now and then so I tried this product. I thought the colour looked good and that it was good value for money too. It is really easy to put on and the instructions couldn't have been simpler to follow. You get a bottle of colourant, some cream which you mix the color into, plastic gloves and a conditioner. I always keep a towel around my neck and wear something old in case anything spills. I found it helpful to put vaseline around my hairline so my forehead didn't get stained. It was very easy to wash out and the conditioner that comes with it lasts a few washes, even on long hair, and made my hair very glossy and shiny. I am pleased with the overall effect. However, I am not a big fan of the odor that keeps on lingering after use.
