I've tried almost every Kiss My Face bar soap in search of a soap that moisturized but didn't stink. I was again disappointed. Kiss My Face's Olive & Lavender soap sounds lovely, and actually does work like a dream. It moisturizes nicely and leaves you feeling clean and soft but not dried out. It produces a nice lather and is very durable in that it is a very substantial, hard soap and does not break down to a liquid mess in the soap dish in your shower. It is a rather large bar and difficult to hold when wet. If that was it I'd love this soap, however the issue I had with this was the smell. I knew from the Pure Olive Oil Soap (and others) experience that this has a very distinctive smell (my mom calls it motor oil) but I decided to give it another try when it was mixed with Lavender as Lavender is normally quite potent and covers up most things. However, it does not cover up the oily stink of this soap. Instead it just smells like you dumped some lavender oil over a puddle of motor oil and mixed it up. This is not a good thing. If you're not particularly sensitive to scents this may be okay for you, but if you have a delicate nose you will probably find this annoying at best and intolerable at worst.

After using the liquid Kiss My Face soaps for years, I decided to give their bar soaps a try when they went on sale at my local co-op. I'm so glad I did, because I have found "my" soap! First of all, the bar itself is HUGE and lasts forever! That's always a plus. And secondly, I love the olive oil and lavender scent. It's wonderful. I find that with this soap, my skin doesn't get that tight feeling after I use it, if you know what I'm talking about. It's very moisturizing and doesn't contain any unnessesary chemicals so that's definitely a huge plus with this bar soap. It also goes on sale regularly at my co-op, so I usually pick up a few bars when it does and by the time I need more, it's usually on sale again, which is great. My husband, however, doesn't like the soap, he prefers the plain Kiss My Face olive oil bar with no lavender. I like that one too, but I love lavender so much that we just buy both of them so we are both happy with our soap!

I am not a very big fan of soap bars but after discovering Kiss My Face Olive & Lavendar soap bar I made this an exception. This is the perfect soap to use all year long and the scent is just so amazing, energizes and relaxes me at the same time. Using this during the winter, it does not leave my skin dry or irritated, it leaves my skin nicely scented and moisturized. The texture of the soap is very smooth and silky like, it lathers up really quick with or without a loofah. Since this product has little to no chemicals in its formula my sensitive skin does not breakout from it, which is why I have been sticking to this soap. Like many soap bars they leave a film even after being washed off over and over but this one does not. No icky residue behind and rinses clean. The bar of soap can last quite awhile and the price of this product is very inexpensive. I am still surprised at how wonderful the quality of this product is for so little money.

I first tried the Kiss My Face olive and green tea because these are supposed to be great for your skin, right?  And it was.  My eczema prone skin simply loved the healing and moisturizing properties of the soap.  It was the kissing part that went horribly wrong. As in, I approached my husband for a kiss and he reeled backwards.  "What is that smell?!?"  He couldn't even stand it being put in the shower for body use instead of face.  So I approached the Lavendar version with caution but was hopeful because it has pretty much the same ingredients except with the additional lavendar. I approached my husband a bit more timidly, without telling him I tried the Lavendar version, and... success!  Kiss without any comments on smell. My skin loves this soap and my eczema seems to stay away while I use it. The only downside is it leaves a really sticky residue on whatever you store the soap in, or on... even things designed to hold bars of soap.  Still, it's worth it.

I bought this soap because my husband was insisting we needed an organic soap.  Kiss My Face was sold at my local Kroger and was on sale, so I bought it.  The soap works as far a soap goes.  I can not complain about Kiss My Face Olive and Lavender soap and its cleaning abilities.  I have dirty kids and it cleaned the dirt off.  The soap bar itself is very hard and not soft at all like other soaps.  If it is kept dry and not floating around in the bathtub it lasts a long time.  I however, have kids that like to lounge in the tub with the soap and it disappeared quickly.  The best thing about Kiss My Face Olive and Lavender soap was the smell!  Wow, you don't need any air fresheners when this soap is in the bathroom.  The lavender smell is clean and fresh and fills the whole room.  Due to the price, because it is not always on sale, and the fact that my kids would let the bar float around in the tub and disappear I do not use this soap anymore.
