Great product if your hair breaks easily

5

John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Conditioner is an amazing product and is an essential part of my beauty routine each week. I use a flat iron to smooth and straighten my hair on a daily basis. I find that the heat is really hard on my hair. It is important that I use products that help restore the hair shaft and minimize the damage caused by the flat iron. I use John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Conditioner when my hair gets really dry. This product softens and restores moisture to my dry hair. It makes a big difference in the overall health of my hair. I find that my hair is smoother after I use this product as well. Overall, I am very impressed with the results I get after using this restoring conditioner. The product is a little on the expensive side, but it is well worth the money! Scent I love the scent of John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Conditioner. It makes my hair smell fresh and clean.

John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Conditioner

5

I have been using John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Conditioner for almost a year now, and I can't say enough good things about it. I have very long hair, halfway down my back, and it is very thick and naturally curly. I wash my hair every day, and I need a good conditioner that is able to make my hair more manageable when I need to comb it out while wet. This conditioner makes your scalp feel very tingly, while it is working to keep your hair smooth and conditioned. It makes my hair look and feel very soft and smooth all day. I have tried many conditioners, but this John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Conditioner is the best. I can usually find it on sale at my local drug stores very often, and they usually have coupons on tear pads, or in the Sunday ad section. This product does cost a little more than your average conditioner, but it is worth every penny, and the added cost.

Good shampoo for clean hair

John Freida root awakening shampoo for normal hair is just that...normal, like any other shampoo on the shelf. I am not saying it is a bad shampoo, it is actually good, but it doesn't really do everything it claims. This product claims to hydrate your scalp, nourish from roots to ends, and stimulate your senses. The shampoo only slightly lives up to one of theses claims which happens to be stimulating your senses. AKA your sense of smell and touch. The eucalyptus smells really good and it makes your scalp tingle. When using this I did not notice any difference at all in my hair's health. It remained the same. If you happen to be looking for a shampoo that cleans well and stimulates your sense of smell, then this is the winner but if you want to improve your hair's health you'll need to look somewhere else. Would I consider buying this again? Yes, but only to keep my hair clean and nothing more. Effectiveness It is effective at cleansing your hair and scalp of dirt and oils. Scent I really like the scent of eucalyptus. I think it is quite a relaxing scent.

I believe I can fly...well my hair can. Static and flyaways!

2

***Quick View:*** I wanted this conditioner to work because my hair has become slightly breakage prone due to highlighting and heat styling. What it did was cause my hair to become staticy and look like I put my finger in a light socket. My hair was soft but just too spazzy looking for me to use this more than twice. ***My Take on John Frieda John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Conditioner, Breakage Prone*** This conditioner comes in an 8.45 ounce green plastic tube that is just a bit lighter than the shampoo of the same name. In the shower, it is a chore to figure out which is which. I hate that. It is white and smells nice enough. After I shampooed with [John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring Shampoo, Breakage Prone][1] , I really needed conditioner and I used this one fairly heavily the first time. After that I used much less but the results were the same. The conditioner does make my hair feel slick and soft in the shower and seems to rinse out fine. But the trouble starts when I blow dry my hair. Oh, and as far as controlling breakage? It didn't. I still saw pieces of hair strands after I combed through my damp hair and again when I styled it.  But the real issue was the flyways and static that made my hair look like as though I was in a weird wind tunnel. The ends looked pretty dry as well. Although my hair was soft, too soft to actually style, it also had to be tamed with styling products to keep it from looking like I rubbed a balloon on my head. I have no idea why that happened and, in fact, I never had a conditioner cause so much static and flyaways. Apparently, for me, this conditioner is not one that is right for my hair. I gave it, like the shampoo, to my sister who has coarse curly hair to see if she has better luck. ***My Viewpoint*** I know many people like this line and I was hoping I would as well but it really disappointed me. My hair didn't look good after shampooing and conditioning with the **John Frieda Root Awakening Strength Restoring  Shampoo and Conditioner, Breakage Prone**. I have to give it ***2 stars***. It may work wonders for you but it was a real dud for me. [1]: http://www.viewpoints.com/John-Frieda-Root-Awakening-Strength-Restoring-Shampoo-Breakage-Prone-reviews Effectiveness This didn't control breakage and it made my hair very static prone. It gave me flyaways and didn't seem to condition my hair well. Scent Generic scented. Somewhat minty somewhat floral.

doesn't moisturize that well

I tried this John Frieda Root Awakening Conditioner for Strength Restoring along with the Shampoo which was also strenth restoring. I figured that using them both together would be a double whammy. I received a sample of the product, which is why I used it. Aside from the smell, which is absolutely completely fantastic (it's a nice cool scent, almost tropical but not crazy), I did not like this John Frieda Root Awakening Conditioner. It did not do a good job of moisturizing my hair at all. My hair felt more dry than it usually does. I use other John Frieda conditioners and they work fine, but this one didn;t seem to do anything special. Very unfortunate. Also, while i'm on the subject anyway, can anyone please explain to me why shampoo and conditioner always (or almost always) come in the same size bottles? I always use about a third more conditioner. They should just sell the conditioner in a larger container. anyway. that's it.

I hated brushing my hair until I tried John Frieda Root Awakenin

5

I have hair that goes all the way down to my buns.  It is also of the super thick, slightly wavy and every so frizzy variety.  I hated washing it, why?  Because then I would have to spend forty-five minutes to an hour brushing it out.  It would hurt.  Some days there would be tears. Then I received a sample of John Frieday Root Awakening Conditioner in the mail.  Thankfully, I received two or it wouldn't have worked on all of my hair!  First I must say that as I tore open the package I was thrilled with the smell!  When it says Awakening it doesn't only mean for your roots!  My eyes popped open and I was ready to start my day! Once I got it in my hair I could already feel a difference.  There was no greasy feeling, just clean softness.  I could also tell the difference as I rinsed it out!  My hair didn't feel all muked up like most conditioners left it feeling, it felt soft EVEN WHEN WET!!  I can't even begin to describe how excited I was when brushing out my hair only took fifteen minutes! And it isn't just the day you wash it that your hair feels perfect!  My other half has commented several times that my hair looks and feels soft and healthy! Thank you John Frieda!!

Root awakening Strength was weak

2

I love John Freida products and absolutely love the smell of this line.  However, I tried the "strength" conditioner along with the strength shampoo because I started to notice a few hairs breaking. I also got the Root Awakening Detangler because I figured the whole system would be needed. I rarely blow dry my hair but I do put it up in a ponytail every other day or so.  I think it actually made my hair weaker.  Even my stylist made a comment as to how much breakage I had.  One thing to note is that my hair is on the dry side and this really didn't moisturize for me,  I always let the conditioner set for at least 3-4 minutes before rinsing so I know I was letting it try to do its job.  The smell is amazing though, and it does last.  I did use about 2/3 of the shampoo and conditioner just to give it a fair chance but I just bought the same line but the moisturizing version so I will be trying that because I do love the smell but don't want to lose my hair.

This smells horrible!

Kao John Frieda Root Awakening Conditioner Strength Restoring smells absolutely horrible!!! I have used Kao John Freida Root Awakening Conditioner Moisturizing and absolutly LOVED it, the smell was fabulous and the tingling sensation on my scalp felt amazing, but this one was horrible! I am not one to use the same type of conditioner over and over, I pretty much just buy whatever is on sale or that I have a coupon for, so I am definitely open to trying new things. Like I mentioned previously I had tried the other type of conditioner in this line and I figured this one would have the same smell, but boy was I wrong! I swear that I had to double check the date on the package to make sure it was not expired. It smelt like silly putty or some sort of rubber cement. It did however have the same tingling effect that I was looking for but not as much as the moisturizing line. I would not recommend this product unless of course you would like your hair to smell like silly putty :)

John Freida out-did themselves!

5

Okay, so I got a bunch of the Root Awakening products through a great deal at Walgreens. I was hesitant about trying it out, because I am not a fan of any of his other products. I have to say, I am in love. My hair looks and feels wonderful! I bought the shampoo, conditioner and a detangler which I use every time I get out of the shower. I have dry curly hair, and this helps it to be a lot more managable. Although I have no had a trim in awhile (shame on me) my hair doesn't look in bad shape when I use heat instruments on it. Please, try  this stuff out. It really is a great product, and it smells wonderful too1
