I had originally given Hertz a rave review.  However after being rear ended and getting a rental from Hertz through a different insurance I was mortified, upset and down right angry at this company.  I quickly realized it wasn't Hertz who was good it was my insurance I had at the time (AAA) who took care of everything. — After I received my payoff check (from my car being totaled) my rental car was no longer covered under the old insurance.  Well I couldn't buy a new car without a car to take me to the dealership.  So I kept the rental while trying to work with… read full review »

I always used to use Hertz when it had to be right. I thought they were the best company, and I trusted them to get it right the first time with no fuss. I already wrote about one rental car experience; and felt the need to add some comments on the rentals I rejected as well.  Our flight was cancelled, and we needed a car to get home by 6 am the next day.  I called several rental companies, and most of them in Philadelphia tried to say over the phone they could not help us; without telling us why.  I did get one honest guy who explained it for me.  (the inexperienced traveler ditz that I was)  It wasn't necessarily Hertz, but Hertz in Philadelphia's policy.  It seems they have a problem that lots of cars go out of… read full review »

The Hertz rental car service is expensive, no doubt. But, once you get a car from them, you have no worries. You get what you pay for and the service as well as the car is worth every penny you spend. They have a very good selection of cars in every category. Plus, if you take the collision and damage coverage from them, you can be worry-free for the rest of your time. The most and the best feature is the availability of the 'Never-Lost' GPS navigation system. i was very disappointed with this company — long story short they offered free tank of gas for week rental then denied  the offer after i rented car. then charged me an extra $2.00 on top of the original quote that they gave me a receipt for when i took the cat-hence i now have two receipts. they explained this as "tax on frequent flier miles" which i intend to look into by contacting continental. why not just tell you that upfront?? whatever it is a real bait and switch operation. — customer service is awful very rude. i wouldnt do business here ever again —… read full review »

I booked a vehicle through Priceline.com for a visit to Las Vegas. We were two couples and we wanted it for the day to make a trip to the Hoover Dam and then check out downtown Vegas. The staff at the airport was very helpful and pleasant and the check-in counter whisked us to our car in about five minutes or less. i had to rent a car for a long distance trip. i got a good deal on a sedan at hertz but i had no selection meaning that i was stuck with an old taurus instead of something i saw in the catelog such as a mustang or a 300c. however i did get a good deal on the rental and the car came with free gps because it was built in, meaning that i did not have to pay for it. overall it was a good… read full review »
