Enterprise Rent-A-Car Review Summary

Customer reviews of Enterprise Rent-A-Car consistently rave about the “fun cars,” and the “very friendly staff." Many reviewers have been “upgraded to exceptional new vehicles for one reason or another without any extra charges.” The company offers “nice clean cars and the prices are within reason,” but one business traveler warns, “Don't get stuck at another airport due to weather or anything like that. Even with a call to the enterprise office, they will not guarantee that they will hold your car reservation.” FLL and ORD facilities are quite a distance from the airport, but most other airport rental counters are handy, with cars being “very easy to return and pick up.”

Enterprise! Dudes! You TOTALLY ROCK!

I rent cars pretty frequently, and when I do, I almost always turn to "The Big E". Enterprise says, "we'll pick you up", and for me, it's not the promise of a ride over to their office that lures me in, it's the "pick me up" of having a good rental experience. I like...

I  am a vip renter for Enterprise Rental Car.  I usually rent my cars on the East Coast.  This reveiw concerns my last rental through the Manchester, New Hampshire airport.  Unfortunately, when I was returning the car to the airport, I was rear-ended by an uninsured driver.  Enterprise would not... review »

Intro
When the minivan needs to be fixed, my husband always tells me to take it in on a day when I don't need it. Yeah, right, when would that be? I run the carpool alone, both drop off and pick up, along with running the kids after school to a variety of different activities. There isn't ever a day when I don't need it. I decided to wait and hold out until Spring Break to get my minivan fixed, but they couldn't fit me in until the end of the week on a Friday, and then couldn't get it finished until after the weekend. I needed some transportation in the meantime, so we decided to get a rental car....

i had the unfortunate experience of doing business with the wards road enterprise office. for my son's birthday on march 28th i went to rent a car so i could take him to chuck e cheese. it was a one day rental. the only car at the airport location was a raggedy kia rio. i was unhappy with that so he called the wards road location. they had a chevrolet cobalt. upon arriving everything went smoothly. they even did a free upgrade to a dodge caliber they had just gotten in brand new. everything was fine at this time. i kept the car until the next afternoon and dropped it off and went on my way. about...

I had a very bad experience at the Framingham, Massachusetts Enterprise at 298 Worcester Road. My experience at the location at 1701 West Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach, Florida was so outstanding I have to rave.

My mom had a fender bender so her car was in the shop. When I arrived in Florida I called Enterprise. She had already contacted them because it went through her insurance company. When I called they said they’d have Wayne are our condo within 20 minutes. Five minutes because Wayne arrived he called to let us know he was close by – and right on time.

He brought us in a clean...

Enterprise has excellent taste in cars, with exceptional and friendly customer service. Their primary market is insurance replacement/local mileage renters. Their competition is not really intended to be the other big companies, but mom-and-pop used-car rental shops.

Keeping that in mind enables a better understanding of why Enterprise is good for specific things. Like everybody else, their cars are brand-new. They offer unlimited mileage, with a catch. The cars are owned by a franchise group, so one-way rentals are usually not permitted. There is a geographic restriction on free mileage,...

My husband and I reserved our car over 3 month in advance. We were flying into San Jose, memorial day weekend. Well...our flight ended up being delayed about 45 mins and when we got to the Enterprise desk they informed us that they let go our our reservation and they had nothing for us. They told us to go to Fox because they sometimes honor Enterprises reservations and prices. We had reserved an compact car and ended up with a PT Cruiser.

Other then passing us on to Fox, they offered us no help or any compensation. I understand it was a busy weekend but honestly, we had no control over our delay...

We took our RV to Las Vegas and did not want to tow a vehicle this trip.  When we got to the campground in Las Vegas we called Enterprise and told them what we wanted and they came right over to pick us up.  They took us back to the office to fill out he paperwork and we got the car of our choice and we were on our way.  When we took the car back we drove to the office, finished the paper work and they delivered us to wherever we wanted to go.  Couldn't have been more convenient or easy.  I will use them again and again.

I RESERVED A VAN WELL IN ADVANCE TO TAKE MY DAUGHTER TO COLLEGE IN NORTH CAROLINA.  WE WENT TO GET THE VAN AND THEY DID NOT HAVE WHAT I RESERVED.  THEY TRIED TO PUT US IN A PANEL VAN WITH TWO SEATS.  I WOUND UP TAKING MY OWN CAR AND SENDING HER BELONGINGS LATER ON.  I WAS REALLY UPSET THAT WAS NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Super fast friendly service. Very prompt service to airport. Vehicle very clean and well maintained. Shuttle operators very courteous. Didn't have to wait at all for my ride to airport even though it was just me in van. Economy vehicle not available so we received a free upgrade. When we checked in to receive vehicle, the process was very suprisingly quick! They provided maps to and from location and tips on traffic.

It's been years since I dealt with Enterprise Rent-A-Car.  But I do remember friendly service and clean cars.  Besides...I got to deal with a home-grown company. (St. Louis, MO.)

Both times I dealt with them was due to an insurance claim.  My agent recommended Enterprise Rent-A-Car over other car rental companies.  I could see why.  The cars were next to immaculate on the inside & out.

Another plus you'll find is their car sales.  Once again...clean inside & out with a good warranty & below "blue book" prices.  My Mom bought an Oldsmobile years ago from them.  She loved her little car. ...

Well where to start?? Before I type this , please let me state that I wrote Enterprise with this concern and NEVER received a reply back. My car needed to be in the shop for a week, my insurance set us up with Enterprise as we had used them in the past with good results. Now a few weeks before my time for a rental my daughter needed a rental also (her car backed into mine) and they gave her a PT Cruiser. I rode home with her and commented how it was hard for me to get in and out of it with the arthritis in my knees and hip and how I wouldn't be able to drive one of these. I requested then that...

I would not recommend Enterprise for anyone who cares about reliability. The car and the size of car that I ordered weeks is in advance was not available, making my 3 teenage kids  cram into the small backseat of the tiny standard sedan. But of course I was still charged for the large car I did not receive! The car its self was not reliable. The front tire was constantly leaking making us take several trips to the gas station to reflate the tire on my dime, The car was also filled with trash and grime from previous uses. When we arrived to the enterprise parking lot to return the car we found... review »

Wasn't sure whether we'd have a good experience after all the things I'd read in reviews about Enterprise, but we got to the small regional airport late in the day on a Thursday afternoon.  The compact we had reserved was gone and so we were upgraded to a Nissan Murano, a nice SUV (horrible gas mileage, though).

The manager (only one person doing all the tasks) didn't write down a large scratch on the left rear bumper, and I made my husband go back in and have her identify it on her copy.  I'd heard of people getting charged for just that sort of thing and I didn't want us to be one of them.  ...

My son wrecked my car and the insurance company I use has rental replacement while car is in the shop. They use Enterprise. They have cars that are new and also many different types of cars. However the car we got was 1 year old and the seats were stained and the interior of the car was filthy. They have lovely commercials about picking you, however after trying to work out a schedule with them to pick me up and after 2 hours of trying to figure out when they were free and I was free, I finally just got a ride to pick the car up myself. The staff at Enterprise were polite , but not in any... review »
