Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Kick & Crawl Aquarium Review Summary

Reviewers are not too thrilled with the Fisher- Price Ocean Wonders Rockin’ Aquarium Gym. This toy, intended for infants, earns some positive marks in areas like appearance, the cuteness of its features, the fun songs, and the ease for very young children to activate the different sounds. But the fun stops right there, and reviewers point out many reasons to dislike this device, like its loud noise, the problem with the attached toys falling off, the general annoyance from hearing the same songs played over and over again, and the fact that children don’t seem to like it very much. “Don’t Let Your Baby Find Out About This High Decibel Nuisance” says one reviewer, and all agree that the Fisher- Price Wonders Rockin’ Aquarium Gym is one Baby Toys that households should do without.

This activity gym has toys to grab and kich. The hanging toys are attached by strong velcro and can be pulled off by parents for tummy-time play (part of the base folds up to hold the toys). For crawlers, it can be turned into a tunnel. It is easy to assemble, and portable and lightweight, so it would... review »

I was really excited about this toy and thought my daughter would be too, but sadly, she wasn't interested in it.  I tried using it on her tummy, on her back, sitting up... she didn't like it.  Once she learned to crawl, she used it a little bit as a tunnel to crawl through.  The one thing she did... review »

I have used this gym since the first week my daughter was born.

I used it to put her on her stomach, but she always hated tummy time after 5 minutes no matter where she was. At least this gym wipes off easily which comes in handy after she drools or spits up during the dreaded tummy time.

On her back, she would stare at the bubbles on the toy bar.

The fish that makes music plays two different songs. They remind me of Popeye. This fish was actually the first toy my daughter ever had any interest in. She would just stare at it for long periods of time, and she loved to hear the songs play. She still...

I got the Fisher Price Kick and Crawl Aquarium for my son when he was about 10 weeks old or so and he liked it then. He is now 20 weeks old and he loves it!  There are three different ways to use this toy.

The first is as a play mat/gym.  The toys hang above babies head by strong velcro and there is a ball for baby to kick at the foot of the toy.  At first my son couldn't figure out what to do witht he toys but now he can push the button to make the fish play music.  One thing I wish this toy featured is an option ot have the fish play music continueously because my son gets bored and tired...

The Fisher Price Ocean Wonders play mat is great for one big reason: it's versitile. It grows with your child. The basic mode for the play mat is like most others--baby lies on its back with toys hanging overhead. The mat also, however, converts to "tummy time" mode by propping up one end so you can lean toys against it. Better yet, the play mat can convert into a tunnel for older toddlers to enjoy.

My daughter has had a blast with this through all phases. She enjoyed it as a simple play mat when she was an infant. She's now three, and still enjoys playing with the tunnel. It's nice to actually...

My name is Sheela and I have a 9-month old named Jayden and he is in to everything. He likes to play around and act silly so I thought the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Kick and Crawl Aquarium would be perfect for him. He just loves the lights and colors and he loves the sounds. When I saw it I knew he would love it. He plays with it all the time. I have to make him stop playing with it when it's time to go to bed. Fisher Price is a name that I can depend on and a name that I have always relied on for my son's safe play time. This toy is wonderful. It occupies Jay long enough so that I can get things...

I wanted a tummy time toy, and the Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders was that plus a crawl through toy for later.  I wasn't all impressed with it myself, but my son loves it!  He played on his stomach and back on it for the first 8 months, and then I turned it into the crawl-through now for the past month and he just has a blast going in and out, plus playing with the different toys.  I just didn't like how easy he kept knocking it apart since its velcro straps but thats really not a big deal.

I was really excited when I received this toy.  It is very versatile--baby can play with it on their back, tummy, or when crawling.  My son really liked the musical fish.  And when he got to his tummy, he really liked the mirror.  Now that he is crawling, he doesn't care much about it.  He seemed to enjoy the tunnel for a few minutes, but then he was off to something else.

This is a great toy, but it just didn't seem to keep my son's interest for very long.

This fisher price ocean wonders aquarium is great. It sooths to help babies fall asleep and for older children they can play with it, my daughter is 21 months old and when she wakes in the morning she plays with it. She enjoys the bubbles, the light that lights up when her room is still dark. Another nice feature is that you can adjust the volume so that it isnt too loud that it would keep her from falling asleep.

The fisher price ocean wonders kick & crawl aquarium is certainly a cute toy. Lots of different things for baby to do, grows with her, etc. But if you're limited on space and can't leave it out all day and night, it's hard to store. The rails are awkward and the bars don't like to lay flat. Also, switching from one position to the next can sometimes be tough as the inserts stick in the holes.
