This fabric softener leaves clothes super soft to where you want to just wrap up in the fabric and cuddle with it. Definitely makes things softer than other fabric softeners I have used in the past. The only problem I found was the smell can be a little strong, so I use just less than what is recommended and it works perfectly. I love the lavender smell and use this most on items like my bathrobe and blankets. Performance This definitely works best of all the fabric softeners than I have used. The blankets that are washed with this compared to the ones that I do not use this on are much softer, making it harder to get out of bed in the morning. I would recommend this to anyone looking to make their fabrics much more touchable. Scent The smell is fantastic, though quite girly so using it on my husband items is not an option. Also, though the smell is fantastic, though it can be a little bit over powering. I would recommend using just slightly less than the labels says if a person is sensitive to perfumes or has severe allergies like I do.

I've used downy for over a decade if not close to 2 decades. This is my all-time favorite downy product that has been created. I love the fragrance and have been using it quite a while. Not only do my clothes but my hand-washed delicates come out fluffy and soft but they also come out with a lovely fragrance as well. Performance I feel Downy Simple Pleasures Ultra meets its performance objectives: everything is so fluffy, so soft and has a VERY lovely fragrance. All of the downy products I've used (and I've used a lot) this meets my performance expectations hands-down. Scent This downy product has an amazing fragrance as I already mentioned (actually it's my personal favorite fragrance). It makes the product even more special. I tend to use this fragrance all over my home as well (in my linen closet on my current bedding, etc.). I was so thrilled when Downy came out with this product in this scent.

I usually love Downy products so I was very excited when they came out with the simple pleasures line and I especially wanted to try the lavender vanilla. The stuff smells great in the bottle-- but it is a little strong. When I used it on my first load of laundry, I decided it was WAY too strong for me. I'm not sure if I'm specifically allergic to just this scent or if it is just how loud and strong that it smells that bothers me. All I know is that I spent the days wearing the clothes washed in lavender vanilla sneezing my head off, trying to be inconspicuous with a runny nose and doing my best not to smell the stuff on my clothes. I like everything from Downy but this scent and if you have a sensitive nose at all, I'd steer clear!

I have a really hard time using any scented items due to allergies to most perfumes but didn't have a problem using this softener. It left my clothes not only soft and fresh smelling the day I did the laundry but stayed that way for several days after. Just a hint of fragrance not over powering.

Let's face it, softener is just softener....WRONG!  I love this stuff, really I do.  Ot only does it do what it's supposed to (soften my clothes) but the smell cannot be beat.  Seriously.  I look forward to filling the softener cup so I can smell this, and then when I take the load of laundry out of the dryer, the smell is amazing.  The great ting is that the smell lasts on your clothes, too.  SOme softeners lose their scent right away, but with this stuff I've pulled clothes out of the closet 4 days after doing the laundry, and they still smell great: fresh and clean, like I just washed them an hour ago!  I also like the ultra--you don't use as much, so there's not as much waste for the environment (buying extra bottles).  I first tried this becuase I was curious if the smell would last better on my clothes than my other softener, and was intruiged by the lavender scent.  i was not disappointed, it's wonderful stuff.

There is nothing better, in my opinion, than a freshly washed load of warm laundry! Better yet, is the same clean laundry washed with a cap full of Downy Simple Pleasures! Just a small cap can change the smell and feel of your laundry. I'm not sure how it does it, but the clothes always come out super soft with few wrinkles and smelling like a dream! The smell lasts a very long time too! I can still smell it on my sheets that I washed last week. Such a clean and inviting smell! I really do think it's a simple way to brighten any day. I guess thats why the same is simple pleasures, it really is a pleasure to use  and enjoy. The price is also great, My local store always has it on sale and there are always pleanty of coupons to make this deal even better. I would highly recommend this to anyone that truly enjoys the smell of clean, fresh laundry. It really is better than any other brands of softener that I have ever tried.

I have always been a big fan of fabric softener. I love smells and I love clothes that smell good! Downy has always been a big favorite of mine. First off, I am always looking for a good bargain and I often find Downy fabric softener on sale. Also, I seem to find coupons for Downy fairly often. And even at the regular price, Downy is a good buy for the money. It is not watered down as some fabric softeners are. It does not stain the clothes. A little bit goes a long way. There is not a fragrance of Downy that I haven't loved. I always really liked the smell of the original, and I am liking the simple pleasures fragrances even more. So far we have tried Lavender Serenity, Almond Cream Bliss and my favorite Orchid Allure. They each have a very distictive scent, that is noticeable, but not overwhelming. And true to for, Downy fabric softener does make the clothes feel softer than other fabric softeners, and keeps clothes looking great! When I find a product I love, I stick to it, so we will be using Downy from now on- now I just can't wait to try the other fragrances!

Seriously....I love the smell of this stuff!!!  I was very hesitant to try it because of the price but wow, am I glad I did.  I want to take all the clean clothes out of my closets and wash them just so I can get that smell on them!! Highly recommended!

I've been using Downy Simple Pleasures-Lavendar Vanilla for over a year now, and let me tell you something, I will NOT sleep on or with ANYTHING that hasn't been washed in this stuff. It is wonderful. It smells great, it's soothing and it makes everthing so soft. I recommend this product to anyone who wants to get a good night sleep. Use on everything that has to do with bedtime. Pajamas, sheets, blankets, pillowcases, you name it-use it.

I love fresh smelling clothes and sheets and I am always on the look out to try something new.  My hubby is picky on some of the fabric softeners I have tried, but so far not a peep out of him since I started using Ultra Downy Simple Pleasures.  I have tried "Pink Opal Rose"  and "Turquoise Frost" which both smell very nice and they work great too.   Both remind me of a soft, warm, fragrant floral candle, and they leave my clothes and sheets smelling so nice and fresh and don't forget soft.  It is also made of natural oils. Ultra Downy is nice because you can use less and still get that great freshness. 32 loads out of a 27 FL oz bottle. So good I so don't want to get out of my bed.  I also tend threw out the day, sniff my shirts and sweaters to see if I can still smell the freshness and it does last.  It's a nice calming feeling just from the scent alone...kinda like a comfort food, but only in a fabric softener. You can find Ultra Downy Simple Pleasures where you find laundry soaps and fabric softeners.  This is truly a wonderful scent and very fresh smelling.  They are also sold in fabric sheets too.
