When my daughter was getting ready to move out of her infant car seat I did A LOT of research. I was determined to get her a seat which would allow her to stay rear facing as long as possible and would also protect her when she does turn forward. With it's 45lb rear-facing limit she will be able to be rear-facing for a VERY long time. Even after she turns around the five-point harness accommodates up to 80lbs and then converts to a booster to 120lbs. Basically it is the only seat we will need for my daughter until she no longer needs to be in a car seat. Another thing that I love is that, unlike most other seats, Radians are rated for 10 years, instead of the usual 5 or 7. We could not be happier with our seats! We loved the first one so much we immediately bought a second for my husband's car. Our girl is super comfortable and it is easy to get her in and out, even for the grandparents. Last fall we flew with our car seat for the first time and that was great too. Our girl was happy and comfortable and the car seat was easy to install, and of course FAA approved, on the plane.
