I had always wanted to try some type of mattifier before and finally settled on this Dermalogica brand after a lot of research and reading good things about it. It was not that cheap but I figured that I would splurge on myself a little bit. I have always had a very oily t-zone, with an exceptionally oily forehead that is always shiny and breaking out if I don't keep it under control. What I liked about this mattifier in particular is that it also helped treat your skin for breakouts, while keeping the shine under control. Applying it felt really soft and satiny, very pleasant. It went on very smooth and even. As far as shine control, it really did give me a matte, photo-like finish that was very pleasant. It also helped my foundation and concealer last a lot longer and I did not have to reapply it nearly as often. Most importantly, it has helped keep pimples at bay and I have not broke out in quite some time since using it. This has now become a staple in my beauty routine, I use it everyday.

I was introduced to Dermalogica products when I went to get a facial a couple of years ago. My skin looked and felt so good after using the Dermalogica products. The Esthician recommended some products for me to use at home as I have combination skin. My skin tends to get (and look) very oily throughout the day. I also get clogged pores on occasion. One of the products she recommended was Dermalogica Clearing Mattifier. She claimed that it would control the shine and reduce acne and oil. I was skeptical as I have tried various products over the years that promise to reduce oil on the skin and keep looking clear. I was pleasantly surprised. Dermalogica's mattifier feels a little thick but absorbs fast into the skin. It did not make my face feel tight or dry as some mattifiers have done. I did notice throughout the day that my face did not have a shiny appearance. It was so nice to not have to continually wipe the oil off my face throughout the day. I also did not experience as many breakouts. This is a product that I use on an almost daily basis and love it. It can be applied after your moisturizer and prior to applying make up. Effectiveness This product really works to control shine and reduce acne. Ease of Application The Mattifier absorbs fast into the skin. Side Effects I have experienced no side effects while using this product. Immediacy This product works fast to control shine and reduce breakouts.

Such a great product. Easy to put on, light on the skin and long lasting.  I was reccomended this by my dermatologist and I haven't looked back. It made my skin look great in the months leading up to my wedding and helped my skin look flawless for the big day. It is a little on the pricey side but it lasts a long time and the results are worth it. Two BIG thumbs up!

I have been using Dermalogica Clearing Mattifier for over a month and have been very pleased. It is very difficult for me to find suitable skin products because my skin is acne-prone, oily AND sensitive. The Dermalogica Clearing Mattifier is a super light weight lotion that glides effortlessly on skin. It keeps my skin fresh and matte all day. Makeup no longer runs off my face by the end of the day. Best of all, it has reduced both the severity and duration of breakout. I like that the formula is natural and has not been tested on animals. I would recommend it to anyone suffering from oily troubled skin. Of course, it is expensive but worth every penny!

The dermalogica line is compleatly amazing. I was never troubled by acne untill I was 4 years out of high school. My daily wash of nutragina was drying my skin and i was braking out constantly when I Went to a Beauty school in Laconia NH where they did a skin analisis and found the dry skin was keeping the oils in my face and suggested that i follow up with the Medibac dermalogica kit that includes the clearing mattifier. Right away I noticed a diffreance. I use the mattifier on my trouble spots where i already have brake outs and the oil control lotion on the whole face. the mattifier dries up brake outs keeping them small and unnoticable. The whole medbac line is a perfect gift for those who have acne from teens to adults it really works!!!

I love this product! I swear my face is way less shiny after using the Dermalogica Clearing Mattifier. Plus it's simple to use. After I wash my face and put on my under eye cream I put on the Clearing Mattifier as its a moisturizer. Depending on how my skin is looking sometimes I skip the whole moisturizing step!
