Long-lasting, easy to access

5

I bought this coffee maker (possibly the previous model of the same style) about 3 years ago and it's still working as well as the day I bought it. I've only cleaned the brewer once, so I'm not even intense on the care and maintenance. In terms of durable kitchen electrics. I've decided that hardware power-tool brands are the way to go (I've got some Black & Decker products that have lasted for more than a decade). I picked this maker for the front-load access which has made it so, so easy in my teeny, tiny kitchen. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I find the brew time to be just fine. It takes only 10-15 minutes for an 8 cup pot. The machine does offer an Aroma setting which slows the brew significantly. But this is a show-off feature, good for when you have company and want to set a mood or when you program it for the morning and want the smell to meet you in your bedroom. I've never used the program option so I've got nothing to offer on that feature.

Great coffee maker with neat design!

Great design so it can slide under a cabinet easily and still conveniently open without having to move the whole thing. After lots of opening and closing, you can tell its been used but still VERY usable! Great coffeemaker! Also love the coffee cup heater on top!

DeLonghi makes a great pot of coffee

4

I first purchased a DeLonghi coffee pot after our coffee pot broke a few years ago.  It is a very easy to use coffee pot.  It makes a great pot of coffee as well.  I especially like the aroma button.  It increases the strength of the coffee shile it is brewing.  I also like that the actual coffee maker has a swing away door to put both the coffee and water in.  It makes it easier to make the coffee.  I am not a huge fan of the coffee filter.  I don't feel like it gets clean with just water and if when I use soap it seems like a soap residue would be left.  Another problem with this coffee pot is that if the actual pot is broken it is not easily replaced.  I had to search multiple internet sites to find one and then it was as expensive as some lower end coffee pots.  I do like the option to set a certain time for the coffee to brew, but I find the timer difficult to set because instead of being able to set the hour and minutes seperately they must be done at the same time.  I would reccomend this product, but be prepared to pay a little extra.

not as good as I had hoped

I am a bargain hunter but am more than willing to pay for a quality item. When I purchased this coffee maker for my home I also bought one for my husband's aunt and uncle for Christmas. It was a disappointment to say the least. It is easy to use and easy to clean. It has easy front access and a reusable coffee filter. Now come the things that I don't like..which is a longer list. The coffee takes too long to brew. I use it to brew at least two pots a day.It leaked .. why I do not know.. Could not even find out from where it was leaking. you have to careful to measure the water exactly or it will leak.I had used it for maybe 10 weeks when the timer/ clock feature suddenly stopped working. The exact same thing had happened to my uncle that I had purchased itfor after he brewed one pot every two days in it. He had owned his for about 3 months before it suddenly stopped working.I do not recommend this product to anyone.

DeLonghi DCF-212T Automatic Coffee Maker I Have Mixed Reviews

4

We purchased this coffee maker about a year ago. We needed it to replace 2 that we lost the previous year so we were not anxious to have to replace yet another so quickly. The look, performance, and design of this coffee maker is superb. It still brews quickly on the regular setting and about the same as a less expensive standard coffee maker on the strong brew cycle which is a bit slower. The flip out basket feature is nice as is the 2 piece design which allows you to pull out the basket to clean and or fill separately. For comaprison purposes for others because I completely believe we all use things differently and more or less than some, this brews approximately 2-3 pots of coffee per day in our household. and as I previously mentioned we have been using it for about a year. The issues started a little over a month ago when pouring the water in it would leak down into the heating surface and out onto the counter, this began as very little but is progressively getting worse. Then one morning after brewing we noticed the digital clock in the front had moisture in it and now you can't tell what time it is. The numbers are still somewhat visible but illegible. This makes it incredibly difficult to try to preset this for automatic brewing, which is a feature we daily on weekdays. The speed of brewing has remained the same and I find it brews a consistently good tasting hot cup of coffee everytime. I would recommend this BUT  only for those that either use their coffee maker occasionally or not as much as we do believing the life span would probably be much longer.

The only one you do not have to pull out from under the cabinet.

This Delongi coffee maker is sleek gloss black and chrome and designed to fit on a counter under the cabinet. It has a design with a drawer that slides-rotates out so the water and coffee  can be added into the drawer without having to slide the coffee maker out from under the cabnet to use it. It's also black and chrome and looks great next to my black Samsung refrigerator. It has all the features you expect and more clock,  timer, built in water filter, comes with a permenant coffee filter and a special aroma setting. It costs a little more but it's worth it when it's a product you use everyday, and it's not the most expensive coffee maker out there. The design is inovative, extermely functional and convienient. I'm supposed to keep writing untill I reach 900 charecters but seriously I was done at about 750 so the rest of this stuff is really just fluff. It's great i connot think of any negatives.

Good coffee, but very slow to brew

My mom and dad got this coffee maker for my husband and I as a gift.  We loved a lot of the features:  the sleek design, the front-load design, the forever filter, and the fact that it's programmable.  We were so excited to wake-up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee.  However, this coffee maker takes approximately 30 minutes to brew 8-10 cups of coffee.  You definitely have to plan ahead!  It does have a pause and serve feature, but the coffee is really strong if it hasn't completely finished brewing.  The timer is not very user-friendly either.  If it's currently set for 6:00 am, and you want to set it for 5:30 one morning, you have to cycle forward through 11 and a half hours, rather than just going backward 30 minutes...or setting the hour and the minutes independently.  One more negative thing is that somehow a lot of coffee seems to end up on the warmer so there is always burnt coffee on the bottom of the glass pot.  We've only had this coffee maker for about 6 months, and we're ready to give up and buy a new one.  Very disappointing.

Nice design and a space saving appliance.

After one year of service this coffee maker seems almost perfect.  It does brew relatively fast, however, it does not have an adjustable temperature for the warming plate.  The unit does save space as it will not require being moved to add the water or the grinds.  The passive cup warming plate on the top of the unit is also handy in colder kitchens.  One feature I wish it had was a signal beep that the coffee brewing cycle is finished.  I have not experienced any leaking as others have posted, but, that may be due to incorrect positioning of the carafe while brewing. This unit fits well into any kitchen that is based on stainless/black appliances.  If you want unusual colors, this is not the coffee maker for you.  Overall, I think it values four stars just because their are better units near this price point.  Some have more bells and whistles including complicated and unused features.  If you have a small kitchen with low hung cabinets, I would recommend this as a good choice.

Increase the brewing tempature on you Delonghi coffee maker.

The front access is wonderful.  That's where the compliments stop.  The coffee brew a little above luke warm.  The clock setting feature is bothersome because you can only go forward.  If you miss your mark, you have to go all the way around again (that goes for auto brew setting also).  The coffee pot itself doesn't seat very well in the hot plate.  The hot plate doesn't heat the coffee.  Frustrating little handles on the permanant filter baskets.  That's it.  Trust me, I'm not a hard man to please. If it frustrated even me, be weary.

DeLonghi Front Access Coffee Maker is a good cup-o-Joe

4

I purchased the **DeLonghi Coffee Maker** **DCF212T** for a good price at a local box store, in desperate need for a new maker (my veins run on the stuff).  I made the purchase without looking over reviews first.  When I got it home, and before I opened the box I checked out some reviews...not many were good, much less great.  Well I was in need of my fix so I opened it any way.  I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of Joe and the ease of use of this appliance. It doesn't have too many settings that are confusing before you get your morning cup, and it brews fairly quick.  It took some getting used to not having to pull the maker out from under the cabinets to pour in the water, but now it is so nice and convenient.  The washable filter is awesome. The only complaint I do have is that I think the brew could be a bit hotter, but I do like my coffee hotter than most.  So it's more of a preference thing than a performance issue.  All in all it works well and tastes great.
