I was happy to come across this toothpaste when I started teaching my daughter to brush her teeth. I noticed that she was swallowing when she brushed and worried that she would swallow the fluoride in other children's toothpaste. I bought this because it was safe if swallowed and it has a fruity flavor. When my daughter tried it, she instantly liked the flavor and brushing teeth was fun and safe again. This toothpaste is clear and great for teaching toddlers to brush their teeth because they can brush as many times as they want. I tried it myself and the flavor is sweet but not too sweet and it's not an overpowering toothpaste. I've just introduced this to my youngest daughter who is just now learning to brush her teeth. I will use this product until they have mastered the skill of spitting their toothpaste out and not swallowing it! It works great as a cleaner for babies, I put the finger tooth brush on my finger and wipe the gums with great reaction from the little one. Mine like it so much they are constantly asking to brush their teeth. Great for a learning tool!

Colgate infant and toddler toothpaste is extremely affordable too. I would recommend this toothpaste for kids that do not like minty toothpaste.

Colgate My First Infant and Toddler Toothpaste is the first toothpaste I used on my daughter and I still use it on my daughter. We started brushing her teeth when she was around 11 months old (she got her first teeth around that time) and she is now 16 months old and this is still my go-to toothpaste for her. Relatively cheap, fluoride free and safe if swallowed.

We are using this product until my son graduates to a fluoridated toothpaste. He really enjoys the taste of this toothpaste, and we've had to work hard to convince him to spit it out and not swallow it. It has a very mild flavor and is gentle, so youngsters will not be overpowered by it. It is not a food item, but it is not harmful if swallowed which is important with little ones just learning about dental cleaning.

This toothpaste must be wonderful! Because My 8 month old daughter loves it! We Use it everyday three times a day and it is almost like she just wants to eat it. It is safe 100% and it comes out clear and sparkly just perfect for my little girl! I love the fact that she could eve put on her finger and use it as a toothbrush if we ever ran into that situation because it is fine. It doesnt seem to have a taste or a flavoring at all because when i tried it it taste bland so if your child is one that wants flavoring this is not the right toothpaste to get them in the motions of brushing their teeth. Although as a busy single mom we have been using it since she was 6 months and had her first tooth and no problems so far!!
