Cliniques high definition mascara is just ok. If you're like me with short but plentiful eyelashes it will help define them (seperate and lengthen) but it takes more then a few coats for your eyelashes to look like they are even there. Pros on this mascara it doesnt clump it does give you a smooth look and doesnt rub off onto your hand or upper eyelid like some other cheaper mascaras. if you're looking for volume however you will need to double layer this mascara with another one. One other great thing about this mascara is it is semi water proof, it washes off in warm water so its great for the pool in the summer though i would still be careful about rubbing your eyes it still comes off but in clumps when wet.

This is one mascara that I could not live with out. It took me a long time to find the perfect mascara, but I received the High Definition Lashes sample when I purchased a 3-step and I have loved it ever since. The black is truly black. The mascara dries pretty quickly after you apply it, so you don't run too much risk of having spots on your face. It doesn't come off too easily when you're crying or in the rain. As soon as I put makeup remover on it, it comes right off. Stays during the day and I rarely ever have to touch it up, and usually it's because of my own tiredness in the morning. Moderately expensive for mascara, but I would definitely say that it is well worth it. The High Definition also comes in brown and the brush is both comb and brush. It rarely clumps and it makes your eye lashes pop. It also lengthens your lashes.

I have written other review about Clinique products. I have been using their products for several years and am generally very pleased. My overall feeling is that they provide high quality beauty products but at a high price. If they lowered their price a little they would be irresistable! But there are a few of their products that I just couldn't live without. I don't wear a remarkable amount of makeup. I'm a blush and mascara kinda girl with a touch of lip gloss. But I am picky about my mascara. In the past I have had several bad experiences with different brands. Everything from clumpy eyes to eye infections due to the makeup. Clinique hasa consistanly been just what I am looking for in my mascara. Clinique mascara doesn't go on too think and clumpy, which helps to accomplish the natural look. It's also very easy to remove with eye makeup remover. I have never experienced an infection or discomfort from the mascara. I wear it pretty much every day and it lasts from morning to night!

Great concept, but misses the mark for me.  I purchased this mascara in Black. The whole definition part of this mascara is supposed to be in the dual sided brush, that has a comb on one end of the actual wand.  This did not work for me and now that i think about it, how can a lash comb make your lashes separated and clump free when it is all covered in mascara?  I keep trying, but no success.  Something else that may just be me, but sometimes in the morning I am in a hurry and forget that one side of this brush is a comb, and when I first started using it, I almost poked my eye with the comb side! So I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who rushes in the morning especially since this a two step process mascara to begin with (coat, then comb). The mascara itself is nothing special.  It doesn't really define, volumize, or anything for my long straight lashes.  I do curl my lashes however before using mascara.  Overall a bust and will not repurchase.  On the plus side this is Clinique brand, and did not irritate my sensitive dry eyes.

If you have sparse lashes then this mascara is probably not going to be the best for you. It is very defining and lengthening, but by no means volumizing. My lashes are quite light so this mascara was great at defining and separating them.The brush may need a little adjusting to because the first time I used it, it turned out so messy and clumpy. But as soon as you get used to it and use it correctly, your lashes will be so long and defined! The brush side adds mascara to your lashes while the comb helps separate it. There are barely any clumps and it does not flake throughout the day. However, it does not hold a curl particularly well. I have naturally straight lashes so I have to curl them first. After I put on this mascara, I can notice a few lashes fall straight again. This happens with most mascaras I use but only minimally with this mascara. It is easy to take off since it washes off with water.

I received this as a sample size in a bonus, and I'm buying the full size when I run out. At first I was extremely disappointed, because when you use the brush first it looks like you didn't put hardly any mascara on at all, but once you use the comb it really amps it up. I love it! It definitely makes my eyelashes thicker, and I think it lengthens them. I do have short eyelashes, so maybe others don't see any length added.

I have been trying different mascaras and decided to pay the extra money and splurge on an over the counter mascara.  I was disappointed in the product.  First, it came off during the day and by late afternoon I could tell there was no mascara on my lashes.  Second, it left a black ring around my eyes.  I want a product that will last through the day.  It was disappointing after opening up my wallet for a little splurge and received a dud!

I feel like my mascara makes me beautiful.  I started using it because a friend recomended it to me and it did not disappoint me.  It is light weight so I don't even feel like I'm wearing mascara at all.  My favorite part about it is the brush.  The comb keeps lashes from clumping together and makes my eyelashed look even thicker.

Ah, what can I say?  I used to be in love with this stuff.  I bought 5 consecutive tubes.  But, I've found better.  Dior Diorshow mascara is absolutely fantastic.  Clinique has a tendency to clump and doesn't lengthen.  It looks very black, but feels heavy.  Diorshow is honestly better; it is lighter and people have noticed my switch.  This is a good mascara if you want quality for a slightly higher price than the drugstore, but if you want to look great go for Diorshow.  Spend the money, it eventually comes back to you.

Clinique High Definition Mascara is amazing mascara. It doesn't clump my lashes together like some cheaper mascaras do. I also have very sensitive skin and this mascara doesn't bother my eyes or my contacts. Overall worth the extra paid for at the cosmetic counter!
