I bought the Antibacterial Gentle Cleansing Bar after buying the Cetaphil face wash. I have very dry skin and rosacea, I'm always looking for products to assist with those skin problems. I was looking online at product reviews and kept seeing Cetaphil mentioned by those with similar skin problems. I first bought the bottle of face wash then soon after thought these Antibacterial Gentle Cleansing Bars and I love them! I usually don't buy bar soaps but Cetaphil is one of my exceptions. I use the bars on my face usually but sometimes in the winter I will use them on my body when my skin is especially dry. [I also have numerous tattoos and I use cetaphil bar soap to cleanse the area following getting my tattoo, it's so gentle on the area and won't irritate my skin!] The Cetaphil bars are very gentle on your skin and completely cleanses your skin without leaving any weird residue or drying it out. It's very moisturizing! The bars don't really have much of a scent, so if you like heavily scented products this isn't for you. I highly recommend this product! It's great for dry and/or sensitive skin!

I like this soap because it helped ease my distresses skin that was reeling from the long cold winter we just had. The soap helped calm my irritated skin that was irritated by winter's cold temperatures, strong winds and super dry air. This soap relieved my eczema symptoms a moderate amount. This soap helped moisturize my skin but I still needed lotion after the shower. The sops is also good for acne because it cleans gently but effectively without making my acne worse or look irritated. I have oily skin and this soap was good at removing daily oils as well as dirt without making my skin feel tight or dry. I like how it cleans my sensitive or irritated skin while not interfering with the healing process. Effectiveness Great at gentle but effective cleansing of my body with acne and chapped winter skin. Scent The scent is a standard bar soap smell that isn't terribly nice but it doesn't linger on my skin so I don't mind it.

This is good for acne prone skin. I wouldn't rate Cetaphil a ten, as I still have a little bit of acne after using this. But for the most part, this helped tone down the acne rash on my back. I had acne bumps, small ones, from my shoulder to about my mid-back. I still have a few acne spots, but not the rash I did have. This works great for acne, especially if you combine it with OTC acne medication. It's helped both my teenage son's acne. They both had a lot of red blotched acne covering their faces. My youngest son also had dozens of blackheads all over his face. Now their faces aren't as red as they once were, and it's helped with their breakouts. They both still get acne, but it isn't anything like it once was. Cetaphyl works great for help acne. Effectiveness This works great at treating acne. It's even better when you combine it with different leave-on acne treatments. I wouldn't use this as a bar soap, I would only use it on acne. It's not good to use antibacterial soap all the time because they can create antibiotic-resistant bacteria. You need to be around bacteria so that your immune system can become stronger. My kids, and I skip a day using this here and there, so that our immune system doesn't get weaker. I would suggest doing this as well.

I used this product as a fact cleanser for a long time. Honestly, it did nothing for my skin, and I hated it. After an appointment with my dermatologist, she recommended that I try using it for the blackheads and acne on my back. Surprisingly, it worked! This product somehow extracted the blackheads on my back and made my pimples smaller. I really like how this product makes my skin feel, as well. It really helped to remove all the excess oil and dirt in my pores. Most soaps seem to leave a layer of film on my skin, but this one left my skin feeling completely clean. I really like that this product helped to moisturize my skin. Sometimes I get dry patches on my back, but after using this product for about a week, all my dry patches were gone. This product doesn't have any sort of fragrance, so it didn't irritate my skin at all. I will definitely continue to purchase this product in the future.

Our Doctor recommended this for our children and when we saw the price we were blown away and were absolutely not going to get it. As the skin of our two year old continued to get worse and my fiance being the wise to my thrifty finally broke down and bought it. I am going to be completely honest here when I say it was the smartest decision we ever made. With in a matter of weeks the two year old had his skin improved so dramatically that I don't know how we ever got along with out it. Believe me when I say that the cost is definitely worth it. Effectiveness Fantastic amazing incredible and any other adjective you can think of to describe how wonderful this product is. It only took a week for my son to get soft smooth skin and all the skin issues cleared up in just a matter of weeks. Scent The scent is okay because it is very mild and not overbearing with the perfume. I like the baby smell that you can get from other soaps but that is a very small complaint because the product is absolutely fantastic.

This soap cleared up my son's eczema within a few uses. I will continue to buy this product. Effectiveness My son had terribly sensitive skin and eczema, and this is the only product that doesn't cause his eczema to flair up. It works quickly to soothe his dry skin. Scent The product does not have much of a scent, but for the purpose it's used for, that's not really a bad thing.

Cetaphil is supposed to be the best brand around for sensitive and/or acne prone skin so when my dermatologist recommended it I tried it starting with this bar first. I wan't overly impressed from the very start. It had an odd, almost medicinal, smell that I wasn't fond of but I decided to continue using it for a few more days anyway. Thankfully the smell does not linger on the skin after you rinse off the suds. It is moisturizing and does foam up well but it just didn't seem to do much for my skin. My skin always felt tight and almost waxy after using it. I figured it was using it too often (twice a day) so I tried switching to just once a day, which did improve the feeling, but not enough. I ended up abandoning the bar in favor of another product from the Cetaphil line. Some people have great success with this but it just wasn't for me. You may want to attempt it but I really cannot recommend it.

This soap has a luxurious, creamy feel to it that I adore. I have no issue with the scent, as it's light to me. Cetaphil Antibacterial Gentle Cleansing Bar doesn't leave my skin dry and rough like other soaps and cleaners do. Having acne prone skin, it's important to find a cleanser that works gently and effectively, while moisturizing. If you're a shower face washer, I would advise not to leave this bar in between showers, it has a way of wasting away. It is a bit expensive for my taste, but, you have to pay for quality.

The cetaphil antibacterial bar is a great product overall. I have been using it on my face for about 6 months now. I suffer from moderate to severe acne and my skin is very sensitive. Because of my acne, i wear a whole lot of foundation, concealer, ect. and it is difficult to remove it at night. The only thing that i have found that removes my makeup completely is this cetaphil bar. Other face soaps leave a little on that i can see when i dry my face. The bonus of this bar is that it kills acne causing bacteria without over drying or irritating my face. I have never found other acne clearing meds in facewash to be effective and they can make it even worse. I also use this bar on the other parts of my body in the shower because it works just fine as a body soap too. The bar is a little expensive but it lasts much longer than normal bars of soap like dove and caress. I will warn you that if you get this soap in your eyes it will burn like crazy, so you may want to remove your eye makeup with something else. It leaves your face squeaky clean and bacteria free. I like to stock up when they sell these in three packs. You can pick this up at pretty much anywhere like walgreens, target, walmart, the grocery store, etc. I would definetly recommend this product for a facewash and especially for acne.
