Canon - PowerShot SX100 IS Digital Camera Reviews

I purchased this camera before going on a nine day trip to Central America. I'm a die hard film camera person (Canon A2 with really nice lenses) and wasn't willing to let my "real" camera get ruined. Let me say - I am impressed. The most important quality to me is shutter speed; this camera doesn't take particularly fast pictures, so let's get that big con out of the way. I was recently shopping around for  a replacement of my standard 35mm camera to something more up-to-date like digital without having to spend money and time the old fashion way of buying films and developing. Used a Kodak 5 megapixel for 5 years until it died.  Replaced it with the Canon SX100 after weeks of research.  It is easy to use though I have yet to try all it's features.  So easy to use that my 4 year old grandson can take really great photos.  — The stabilization has reduced having blurry pictures. The 10x zoom is fantastic letting me take pictures of objects from my deck down to my back fence or take a picture of a butterfly up close. Another feature is being able to take one picture after another, until your memory card is full, when placed on… read full review »

I bought this camera as a gift for someone and have had a chance to borrow it. It works great! The colors are true to any Canon Powershot camera.
