I started using this product after I heard someone talk about how much they loved it and I've joined the club. It looks like a small container, but a little bit goes along way. You mix a little amount with some water in your hand and then apply. It goes on very easily when mixed with water and gives a great scrub around all the areas of my face. My container has lasted me awhile and it works well as a facial scrub. I love that it has organic/natural ingredients and it feels good on my face. It doesn't have the chemicals that other products have. Your face ends up feeling deep cleaned after you are finished and your skin is very smooth. I have always liked products that exfoliate well. This one does just that. I am using this currently and will be buying it again when I run out. I wouldn't use this daily, but a few times a week is perfect. Effectiveness It is great at making your skin feel fresh, clean and like I've removed dead skin and other stuff. Scent It has a pretty good citrus smell.

I purchased this facial scrub after seeing a beauty guru on youtube rave about how good of a scrub it was. I ordered the facial scrub and used it and immediately was disappointed. This product is nothing special. The texture is dry and you often end up with a mess trying to get some of the scrub out of the jar. You put a small amount in you're palm and mix a little bit of water to it to the consistency you like then apply it to you're face which is tedious as the mixture clumps and falls all over the place. It literally feels and looks as if you're rubbing and smearing wet dirt on you're skin. It is not a pleasant sensation. Burt's Bees scrub has an oily substance to it that you can feel being left on you're skin even after washing the product off. It is overall a disgusting facial scrub I would never recommend. Effectiveness This product is absolutely non effective. It does nothing to clean or scrub dead skin off you're face. It leaves the skin feeling greasy and gross. It is a mess to use. Scent Burt's Bees Citrus Facial Scrub has a vague citrus scent combined with the smell of brown sugar is the best way to describe it. It is not a repulsive scent but neither is it an appealing one.

i really like this.  apart from it being gentle and smelling great you can customize the scrubbing effect by adding more or less water.  also a bottle lasts a very long time.  i also like the fact that it comes in glass - it seems to keep it very fresh and gives me a pampered feeling.  i am in my late forties and need to exfoliate every day or dead skin builds up.  i can use this every day and it doesn't dry out or irritate my skin.  all in all my favorite exfoliator for my face.  bonus:  it is not tested on animals

The scrub looks like thick, moist dirt or, to be nice, hard packed carrot cake. To use, you have to scoop out a thick chunk and mix it with water until it is the consistency you want. Then you spread it on your face. The scent is unpleasant. It is earthy and strange and I am not a fan of it. When I put this on my face, it looks like I fell face down in dirt. I honestly don't feel a lot of scrubbing when I use this. I just feel like I am spreading something very gross and dirty on my face. Rinsing isn't the easiest but it does rinse off with water. After, my face feels OK. Not refreshed or smooth but not stripped or dry either.The ingredients, for those who want to know what is in this product, are: *Sweet Almond Oil & Almonds, Vegetable Glycerin, Oats, Orange Peel & Oil, Rose Powder, Pecan Powder, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Nutmeg Powder, Clove Powder, Tocopheral (Vitamin E), Fragrance*Burt's Bees makes mostly natural products that are not tested on animals and the containers are recyclable and I like all that. But I really, really don't like this scrub. It's a hassle to mix it with water and try to get the right consistency and it feels and smells icky on my face. After, I don't feel as though I have exfoliated my skin. It hasn't hurt or irritated my skin but that's about it.***My Viewpoint***I am not all into this product. This is the best facial scrub I have ever used, hands down. It does not negatively effect my acne ridden skin, which is wonderful. It is quite gentle, and I love that it is all natural, as I despise putting all sorts of chemicals that I cannot pronounce, on my face. It works well and the particles that scrub are not very rough and jagged, they are definitely suitable for someone with gentle skin. Some people have reported that this scrub leaves almost a film on their skin, but I have not noticed this at all, it washes off just fine for me. I use this in the shower once a week, and afterwards, my face seems much smoother. It also has a wonderful clove/pumpkin smell (it does not smell citrusy at all, do not let this deceive you), but this smell may not be for everyone.

After getting a sample tube of this from a *Burt's Bees*, and having run out of facial cleanser, I gave this product a try. The *Burt's Bees Citrus Facial Scrub* smells really nice I have to say. True to its name, it has a nice orange scent to it, but not too overbearing that it smells like floor cleaner or Goo-Gone. It smells like you've just cut into a nice moist, ripe orange. It has a nice sweet scent to it. Upon squeezing it onto my fingertips, I noticed that it was a bit greasy to the touch. It comes out in a slick tube, not even like a cream where it seeps into the cracks of your fingers. It had the consistency of canned cranberry sauce. When I applied it to my face, it felt like I was rubbing something extremely greasy onto my skin. It didn't really foam up or gave me any indication that it was cleaning my skin. As I looked at my hands after using it, it looked like I didn't use anything at all, it had a slight white foam to it (and slight is a overstatement as it still looked very watery). I liked that when I opened my eyes it did not sting like other cleansers I've used. When I washed it off, it felt like I had used olive oil on my skin or something. My skin didn't feel greasy after wiping, and it had a nice orange smell to it afterwards, but still- when using it makes you feel like you are using anything other than a cleanser. I do like the orange smell, but not too keen on the greasy factor to it. I would like to give it a try again, maybe I'll get used to the texture. I do recommend this product for those who enjoy the smell of oranges and likes organic products. Perhaps they would look past the greasy feel and enjoy it as well.

I am a loyal and longtime fan of Burt's Bees, and this product is one of my absolute favorites. I love that Burt's Bees is so natural and I love the packaging, but I have to say that the biggest reason I continue to purchase this scrub is because of the results. I have used scrubs in the past that leave my skin feeling scoured as well as giving off an unpleasant smell. This scrub is so gentle, but somehow also really works to slough off dead skin. It also smells great- exactly like... oranges! What I also love about this scrub is how my skin feels afterwards. It never feels raw, but actually feels softer and smoother when I'm done, which is pretty amazing considering it does such a good job scrubbing. I don't honestly think I have a bad thing to say about it, other than that I have to really make sure I rinse my hair afterwards because occasionally the granuals get stuck in my hair. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone with gentle skin and a fan of natural products.

The Burts Bees  Lemon Poppyseed Facial Cleanser is ok. I do like how it is natural and it smells good, but I don't feel like it does a great just exfoliating like other cleansers. It is kind of messy to, when you have to keep sticking your hand in there and scoooping some out each time. I haven't been too impressed with Burts Bees, other then their lip balm.
