One day, I got to thinking:  Now that I'm in the market for mascara, what do I really, really want it to do for me?  This was a switch from other times, when I just find myself confronting a wall full of blister packs, wondering, "Of THESE, which do I want?"  This time, I just started by imagining what my eyelashes would look like at their prettiest.  They're already pretty long and thick, but without mascara no one can tell, because they're also pale and stick-straight.

I hate fuzzy, kinky tarantula lashes, so any mascara with fibers was out.  Ditto the waterproof ones because they always left a residue, no matter how thoroughly I tried to get them off.  But not-waterproof wasn't an option either, since I do tear from allergies and cold wind.  But what I really, really wanted were eyelashes that were long, curved, black and vinyl-shiny.

So I Googled, and stumbled upon Kiss Me mascara.  They promised long, shiny lashes, but the reason I took their promise than some offered by other cosmetic companies was the formula:  "Tube technology."  As you apply it, you're creating shiny, vinyl-like tubes around each hair.  It's truly waterproof, but it comes off easily with...are you ready for this?  Plain H2O.  You just soak the lashes with a few handfuls of water or the shower spray, and when they're softened, run the side of your finger along them and off they come, right onto your finger.

L'Oreal did intro a "tube" mascara a year or two ago, but it's not as good, and I've yet to see any other drugstore brands follow suit.

Kiss Me is a bit expensive, but it's the only makeup product I'll pay premium price for.

This is a weird product to review because it is so different from any mascara I've ever tried, and I'm a mascara connoisseur!

**Blinc Mascara** is a mascara that coats your lashes with black "tubes" instead of painting them like you do with a regular mascara. Blinc calls them tubes, which sound noticeable and big, but I disagree; they are more like removable black strands. This mascara is designed to not only be long-lasting, but almost rub-proof and water-proof too.

Performance
This is by far the longest lasting mascara I've ever used. It will still be on the next day if you don't take it off at night and unless you have the time to take off this mascara, I suggest you just sleep with it on. More on that in a second. As for amount of length, volume and separation this product gives, I'm a little disappointed. Yes, it did add some length, but really not that much. As for volume, it doesn't provide ANY AT ALL. I still have thin, puny lashes after I apply this, and that's with several coats! It does nothing to separate your lashes either. With all these negative mascara attributes, you may be wondering why I gave it a middle-of-the-road grade and not a bad one - it has some serious staying power! You could wear this all day for probably 3 or 4 days. That is, until you take a shower, which brings me to removing Blinc Mascara. DO NOT try to pull the "tubes" off your lashes or you will pull out your eyelashes. To remove it, I highly recommend you use a wet wash cloth or slightly tug on your eyelashes in the shower. Those two ways will easily take the tubes, or as I call them, strands, right off your lashes.

Ease of Application
The application of Blinc Mascara is no different from how you apply traditional mascara except for the fact that you need to apply as many coats as you want before it dries and sets. After that, you're screwed. The brush is just okay. I prefer the silicone style of brushes that some Maybelline and CoverGirl mascaras have, and this a traditional brush with very short, firm bristles.

This stuff is AMAZING! Kiss Me Mascara has no equal :)

By

Comments about Blinc Mascara:

This is the mascara that forms little tubes around each lash.  Doesn't come off until you apply warm water and a little pressure.  Seriously, it stays PUT! Taking it off is even a little bit fun. You just run some warm water, wet your fingers with it and gently place your thumb and forefinger on either side of your lashes and pull (gently!). It comes off in little lash-length strings. Very unique!

Love it!!

Comments about Blinc Mascara:

It is very safe and easy on my sensitive eyes and since it does not flake, it won't hurt my contacts! It looks freshly put on all day. I did notice when it was drying that my lashes stuck together a tiny bit. But overall the price is totally worth it!! Thank you Blinc !!

Okay Product

Comments about Blinc Mascara:

I had never heard of this product until recently. I really didnt notice a different between this mascara and the one I typically use. Blinc has a bit higher price point than my current brand of mascara. Applying the mascara was easy and I had good results with this product. When I went to remove the mascara seemed a bit stringy. Otherwise it was a good product.

Must have mascra!!!

By

from Las Vegas, NV

Comments about Blinc Mascara:

I love thios mascara because it makes my eyelashes so long. It also makes them very thick and look like false eyelashes. This gets a few clumps but not to many and I use an eyelash comb anyway afterapply mascara so it get every clump out. this makes my eyelashes very, very black which i like instead of blond, and i have blond eyelashes. This does flake a little bit. It doesn't rub off my eyes easily but it does wash off easily wether you use makeup remover or face wash. This is a bit pricey. This takes a while to dry so be careful because it could smudge on your face or your makeup. I like the wand it applies to my lashes well. i feel like it doesn't come with enough product and i think it should come with more.

an amazing mascara

By

from Twelve Mile, IN

Comments about Blinc Mascara:

This is just an amazing mascara. I love kiss me mascara in black it is just so pretty on my lashes. It is costlier than other brands, but I think it is well worth it. It is a very long wearing mascara which I need because once I put it on in the morning I just don't have the time to be doing constant touch ups. It makes my lashes look darker and makes them look so long. It can be hard to remove when you take off your makeup so be sure to get a good quality makeup remover and it will come off pretty easy. I love how this mascara looks on my lashes so I wear it everyday. It doesn't matter to me whether I'm going to work, out with my boyfriend or just staying home for the day, I always put a coat of this mascara on.

Easiest Mascara to take off

By

from Washington, DC

Comments about Blinc Mascara:

What's so great about this mascara is that it's both water-proof and easy to remove. The special formula forms 'coils' around your lashes, and you need to combination of moisture and pressure to remove it. (So yes, if you were sobbing and wiping your eyes it woud come off, but it you're blotting a tear or have watery eyes, no problem). To remove it, I wash my face and when my lashes are wet, i take them between my thumb and forefinger and work it off. It's easy and quick. The mascara does clumo a little after you've had it for a while, but I do think it does a good job of separating the lashes and making them look longer and thicker. It's a bit expensive for a mascara, but the clean up is so easy, I think it's worth it.

A Good Concept!

By

from Beloit, WI

Comments about Blinc Mascara:

I received Blinc in classic black for Christmas. My sister in law said it was quite popular among her family and thought we would all like it. It is a great concept for mascara. It covers your eyelashes in a waterproof coating that the company calls "tubes". It kind of looks like that when it comes off. There is evern a warning on the package saying that it is not actually your eyelashes coming off :D

What I liked:

*does not run

*easy to remove

*does not irriate my eye

What I do not like:

*expensive

*not as dramatic as some others

I have damage to my cornea that irritates me when I wear mascara. So far, this has not happened with this mascara, so I am pleased with this aspect. Also, it is quite easy to remove, which I like because it means it is less likely to irritate my eye when I am taking it off.

I didn't have much problem with it smudging or running. This is a neat aspect.

The only problem I really have (since I didn't pay for it and therefore have not had a chance to balk at the price) is that I felt like it wasn't as dramatic as other lash extending types of mascara out there.

But, it is definitely worth it if you have trouble like I do with a damaged cornea.

Hooked on Kiss Me mascara!

By

from Flint, MI

Comments about Blinc Mascara:

I searched for a long time to find the right mascara for me. I always liked waterproof mascara in case of inclement weather, allergies, or anything that might turn me from pretty to scary when it meets my mascara. However, even with the best makeup remover, waterproof mascara is a pain to remove. It also dries very stiffly, so your lashes don't move at all. Kiss Me mascara solves all those problems. I've never had it smudge or run when in contact with moisture, or when I rub my eyes. It stays put all day, and is very easy to remove. I just put hot water on a washcloth(by the time it's near my eyes, it's cooled to bathwater warm), and pinch my eyelashes between my fingers with the washcloth on them. Gently squeeze and rub your lashes, and the mascara comes right off.

Even the most gentle eye makeup removers can be annoying when they get in your eye, and are often oily. Using only water for removal is great. Because the mascara comes away so easily without smudging, I can then flip the washcloth over and remove the rest of my makeup without getting mascara all over my face and fingers. Definitely my favorite mascara ever.

tube your lashes~

By

from San Diego, CA

Comments about Blinc Mascara:

I LOVE Blinc Kiss Me Mascara in Black. While there are quite a few mascara products out there now that claim to "tube" your lashes, this one, as far as i know, was the first. This is the product that got me hooked.

It is the best! you have to apply it the right way. you put a couple of coats on all at once and let it dry. once it's dry, you can't apply any more mascara. since what this product does is make a little tube around each individual lash. sounds weird, i know, but really, it's great. it never comes off during the day, even if you rub your eyes!

in order to remove the mascara at the end of the day, it takes  a few extra seconds, and you just sort of pull them off. wait, that sounds painful and it's really not at all. you VERY GENTLY pull them off. since they don't really come off unless you sort of scrub at your eyes.

this really is a plus, since this way you can wear this mascara to the beach or the pool and you won't have raccoon eyes! i love this stuff!
