I have been a big fan of Avon beauty products and cosmetics for years. My mom used them before me and she's the one who got me started. I love the variety of products they offer and also that most of the ones that have gotten the honors of being called favorites are still being sold! A lot of times places will discontinue a product after a certain period of time. I don't see that being done a lot with Avon. They also come out with new products on a mostly regular basis. I love that the quality of their products are high just like name brand cosmetics but their prices are so low that anyone can afford them! They have great sales and the sales representatives are great, at least the ones I met are. They always have samples on hand that really help me to be confident about ordering a product. I just wish they had a real Avon retail store with trained product experts and where everything is right there in your reach - no waiting!

Its not horrible but not my top choice. Let me start off by saying, they are way too expensive for their products. One little tube of lip gloss is 3 bucks also, the product will look big in the magazine but when you finally get if. It's a little tube.. Sometimes the color in the ad doesnt match the actual product and the product wont live up to what it says it does.That's ridiculous.i have super sensitive skin and they make up tends to irritate my skin and make me break out. The eyeliner smears way too easily and burns when it gets in the eye. Overall the worst part is how sellers are very demanding ad persistent about you buying from them. They pressure you and make you feel horrible if you don't buy something. My friend was an Avon seller and she confided in me that that's because Avon doesn't give them a good portion of profits that they sell. She also admitted she's also does not think the price of the products is worth it x

I love it when I come across an Avon catalog. I grew up with Avon, my mother-in-law sold it and I have sold it as well. So much fun to go through the pages to see the new items and some old favorites. My favorite time of year when I sold Avon was Christmas. It was like Christmas morning getting to go through all the items my customers purchased and bagging them up for delivery. Avon representatives get a certain percentage off the items that they buy for themselves and the demos they purchase to help grow their business. There are meetings held that are designed to get the representative engaged and proactive in selling. I grew close to my customers and they normally paid on time. If you are a salesperson at heart, this business might be for you. There are so many improved ways to sell Avon nowadays. If I were to sell today, I would create a website for online ordering. It might be safer than going door to door unless you were delivering books and products to businesses. I highly recommend Avon!! Great memories of a great product.

I sold Avon a few years ago and I loved it but I was buying more for myself than I was selling. As a Avon Rep you get great deals and specials customers can't get. I always looked forward to my big box of Avon setting on my doorstep and then get to look at the new brochures and catalogs. And believe me it is very tempting for a makeup junkie like myself. But after you buy brochures for your customers and buy your bags,samples and products to demo it gets expensive so thats why I drop out and because I am not a sales person. I didn't go door to door selling just family and friends. I remember my moms Avon lady when I was a child. She was always dressed up carrying her large blue Avon bag with demos and brochures. Her hair was teased up and she would set while my mom looked at the book . We were a nonsmoking home but when she came she always asked for an ash tray and smoked.LOL. As a child I loved looking at the books as well. My first cologne was Sweet Honesty. Ah memories.

I have purchased my makeup needs from Avon for approxiamtely 16 years now.  I have always been satisfied with its products.  I really enjoy the innovative designs of the foundation powder cases you never get out more than you need each time.  The Glazewear lipgloss keeps your lips moisturized and shiney for that just applied look 24 hours a day.  You can also get the nail polish in glazewear also and it drys smooth without the mess and looks like professional salon.  The Super full water proof mascara gives the look of fullness and radiance to the eyelashes and it doesnt smear with water.  The True colors eye shadow has a colorful palette to choose from and vibrant, radiant and true colors you never get bored with your choices.  Avon even carries the Minerals makeup selection that all needs to try.  The minerals selection is perfection for the price.  It matches up with the skins natural glows and you can get foundation, blush and eye shadow in it along with lipstick.  The minerals base keeps you looking great and uses your natural skins appeal to make you look your best. I would give the advice for everyone to try Avon out.  You always get specials in each cataloge you continue getting the value for your money and its all about the colors and performance that we look for in the makeup section.  If you don't know a representive personally just go online to Avon.com and do your shopping from the comfort of your home.

I'm always excited when I get a new Avon Catalog. It's fun, informative and always something new. They have a range of products besides 'cosmetics' alone. I discovered the catalog as a pre-teen & have loved it ever since. They've gotten bigger & better. Overall, the prices are affordable and pretty good quality. I love the samples of fragrance & cosmetics to try right in the catalog. I wish they included more fragrance samples. I'm a makeup & perfume junky! I usually buy when they have special introductory pricing or on Sale pricing. I've gotten quite a collection of their jewelry. Everything I've bought over the last couple of years have been good quality except one item & customer service sent me another one without any hassle. The first fragrance I ever tried was Sweet Honesty from Avon, great product for the young teens.  As with any catalog, clothing/shoes are the only items hard to buy because you can't try it on and if it doesn't fit you need to return it. It would be great they have free return shipping if you didn't shop through an Avon representative or another idea, a drop off retail location! As others have said, the catalogs expire within 2weeks which isn't a long time. That is one reason why I haven't shopped there in awhile, it was the pressure! I love looking at the catalogs, the anticipation of browsing it like a kid in a candy store. Avon if you're listening - make it possible to send catalogs to online shoppers who don't go through an a representative (though I guess that would change the business model...)
